Why is it "ok" just because it's happened before/is the norm. I can think of a lot of other issues, social to political, in which that's exactly the mindset that has stopped progress.

Like, they weren't even using cash boxes at multiple points. At one point I took a picture of behind their counter with a case box sized mound of cash that looked like it was all going to fall over and scatter at any second. If the air conditioner turned on it would've flown everywhere - I've never in my life seen cash treated so carelessly, which is a very good indicator of their level of organization - if they're that unconcerned about their own cash, they're not going to care about making it an efficient, well oiled event.

That's the opposite of what I was going for. It's extra not ok because it has happened before, repeatedly.

No, you're not being consistent with your attempt at reasoning. Omission is just as bad as commission. WK is doing the bare minimum to give the event some semblance of what players expected. How many people do you think would have showed had they known the event would be run like this?
