If someone breaks this power and wins worlds with it I will die.
I don't think it can be effectively broken and weaponized. I am, however, concerned about a figure in the Pipeline that lets it be broken and weaponized. I don't trust WizKids hindsight with regard to stuff like this.

Very true. For example, if they made an object called "Gamma Radiation":
When a character equipped with this object is dealt damage from an opposing figure, you may choose to increase the damage dealt to that character by any amount. If you increase the damage dealt by at least 3, that character may not be damaged or targeted by opposing characters until the beginning of your next turn. For every one damage that you increased the damage dealt by, you may have this character gain either +1 attack or +1 damage (until the end of your next turn).
Sounds reasonable, but would be totally broken on Black Swan. (And would be broken on characters with a stop click too, I suppose.)
why build to completely rely on that last click. she is a good little brick with 10 range charge and 7 damage(using ultra heavy). Instead of building to rely on it, try to increase the chances of it, if she gets to the click
here is the 300 point team i came up with to try to get her to work.
Black Swan, 130
Shatterstar, 73
Arcade, 70
pog, 3
totaling 276, so 24 points for resources or enities on Shatterstar/arcade. Phoenix Force on Arcade(Magik) and Black swan(Colossus) is my first guess on the best use.
if you get Arcades map, pass first turn then you have Shatterstar jump with the pog and likely aren't going for Black Swan this game, since arcade will likely out live Black Swan. Black Swan is just a brick piece this game
if you dont get his map he jumps with Arcade, and you push the pog to ok. Shatterstar and Arcade try to weaken their team and hopefully make it so none of their characters can do 3+ damage. once shatterstar and Arcade are down you have Black swan join the fight, she will hopefully either finish off the team or get hit to her deadly power.
Because thats the purpose of this thread but i doubt any one will be able to break it in a 300-400pt game
for the love of god what of me saying "theory crafting" do you not get?
once again the harvest staff would allow you to reach the final click w/o requiring your opponent to get you there. all I did was answer your question like I said its still just a lot of theory crafting
For the love of god what don't you understand about other people pointing out your theories don't work in practise!

Let's say one does come out, but it takes several turns to make it work while you suicide the rest of the team. Would that be alright? I know I'd be fine with it.
Given how the power is worded, I'd actually be okay with a team coming out that that let's you set up Black Swan with a stop click from the lantern ring (with ruling to support that) on turn 1. I don't see that as really being all that effective. If your opponent has two attackers, they KO your team. If they have a OMA, they ignore you and win on points.
Without some kind of taunt effect (which doesn't currently exist in Heroclix to my knowledge) you will never be able to force the opponent to attack Black Swan.

But what if the team consists *only* of Black Swan (and power battery or whatever)? Then, if they made an insane ruling about the white ring, then the situation would be:
If the opponent has a OMA, he can ignore Black Swan while Black Swan attacks him. Not a good option as Black Swan might eventually KO him. And even if Black Swan doesn't KO him, then it goes to a roll off. (And if the OMA attacks, he probably loses.)
Which is why the white ring needs to not be ruled in some insane way.
Of course, the OMA could start attacking the power battery instead, I suppose. But that would leave him incredibly open to attack from Black Swan.

In that case the problem is the rules regarding determining the winner, not black swan.
*Hurray! Ruling causes derailing debate to be avoided.

You are right, there is currently not a "compel" effect in Heroclix. That doesn't mean there wont be. This power could be very problematic if some game effect is created that allows you to force your opponent to attack a certain figure, or something that would let you take extra damage from an opposing attack, etc. Right now it is fine, but there is potential for this power to be the worst thing since Spiral and or SIF. I am not saying it will or wont happen, only that it could and it would really suck.

That effect has to be in relic/resource form. (no other character clause)
It cannot provide a stop click. (white ring ruling)
The other team must have only exactly the correct amount of damage in range to be compelled, but nothing else in range to attack for the KO.
Only if all three of those could be met would Black Swan be a threat for a "forced win", and then the player has earned it IMO. If anything, this effect is too weak to matter in competitive play.
However I do like finally seeing some goofy win conditions like this and the collector. The only complaint I can really imagine about them, once one actually works, is that it brings the mechanics closer to a card game than a war game.
