$100 says they rule that if you no longer meet the prereq for an Equipment, it stays Equipped but you can't use it (in line with Entities) and then they will realize the problem this causes with Pym Particles and make a contradictory rules for them specifically.
And "Seems pretty" is totally the most confident phrasing I could have chosen to indicate absolute surity, right?
Jesus, man, I get pedantry is your hobby and everything, but there's gotta be way better places to direct it around here.
That wasn't even me beign pedantic, that was me asking you to provide your reasoning, and you trying to use "no one knows anything" to somehow back up your point. (THIS is me being pedantic.)

Anyone wanna take the bet?
Were I to bet, I'd bet they do something more along the lines of making a new definition of standard character that only excludes such things as team bases, vehicles, duos, and colossals and is completely at odds with what's currently in the rulebook, then pretending it was that way all along.

Past experience indicates that this one has good odds.

Eh, sorta but not really. It's all about macro phrasing, man. What's the whole point, as painted by the whole post or body of posts? And the general inability (or unwillingness) to demonstrate an understanding of my simple (idiotic even) point in a way just confirms that point: Heroclix designers don't use language with much precision or accuracy, so debating rules as if they do, which is what the gurus here must do, is ultimately counterproductive.
Again, I'm not implying this is good. It's sorta terrible, because if they don't know what they're saying, how the hell do we know what they're saying? The only way to fix it is to force them to get better, not by coddling their lazyness by playing or ruling as written IF doing so feels wrong. And in this case, it sorta feels wrong. In a case where someone asks how Sidestep works and it's clearly defined and right there, then yes, fine, rules pros know their ####. But nobody is a pro in the grey areas. And, unfortunately, because the rulebook is NOT a reliable narrator, too much of this game is slipping into the grey area.
Plus, I think Vlad wants to make out with me, because his incessant nitpickery of my questionable syntax is bordering on flirting.
Perhaps it would help if they started using Capitalized Terms when they refer to something that actually has a definition somewhere.
As would be done in any business contract.
Capitalized Terms: words which have a specific meaning, regardless of the particular context. Contrasted with generic words which mean whatever a judge says they mean.
I was remembering the Blackest Night definition for "standard," too. I understood which symbols were "standard" but didn't realize a "standard character" must be "with" all of them in order to not be considered "non-standard."
I won't look at your dial-on-card, I don't look at my own, and you don't need to see my DOC, ever. Otherwise, we're not playing HeroClix.
