I can't say for certain but I would think if the Mafia drafted a Vig it would be a "booby prize" and not them getting an extra kill at Nite.

I think on info-gathering it depends on how early and accurate. If someone popped up tomorrow saying they're Cop and so-and-so is Mafia it's much more trustworthy then if someone finally revealed himself as a Cop at the turn-point of the game.

I doubt we have a vigilante. But yeah, maybe Girathon came up with an alterate role if the vig was mafia.

Heck, maybe Girathon came up with alternate replacement roles for every "mostly useful to the town" or "broken if part of the mafia" role.

I mean, a mafia cop is totally useless without a cult or serial killer.

I know I wouldn't draft Rokk or Darq as that seems to obvious.

I'd probably draft Mags. Good player, just coming back. Probably not a target the first couple of nights.

I would have drafted Mags - because he is a slow boil threat and most people will ignore him too long - and Iceman who's aggressive and loves Vanilla. Being able to push and pull Day phases is more potent than most powers in this game, and he's solid for that. JoH is a nice blend of Mags' "innocuousness" which then explodes into Ice's aggressiveness so he'd probably be my third. Fourth would be Gfish as he works the mellow angle to stay off radar while gladly tossing people under buses which would help him reach endgame with minimal suspicion.

I think the safest would be to recruit a cross-section of old / new, loud / quiet.

I rally don't go after I_R more than normal, though he does go after me a bit more frequently.

That's not your usual way. Usually you lure people in to a false sense of friendship or trust and then you turn on them viciously. Your innocuous and helpful nature at the beginning makes your turn in the late game so dangerous because it means the townies are more likely to follow your lead.
