The janitored kill has too much to do with Blue Raja (and his movie) to be coincidence, which makes me suspect the Blue Raja as the mafia hit -- unless the mafia got misdirected into itself.
Rather, we might make better progress figuring out what the Blue Raja and Taco from the League have in common. We might figure out a theme.

Maybe some sort of "goofball" mafia?

I was thinking Inspector Clouseau from Pink Panther aka Peter Sellers... which could possibly fit in with the "goofball" mafia theme.
Why do we think the first section is a failed kill? Reads more like a drag to me. Guess it could be either, Fred's write-ups can be hard to decipher (certainly not a negative).

*cringes*

That's actually a really good suggestion. I could see Peter Sellers here.
KJ has plenty of votes for now, so I'll hold off, but I don't like his non-addressal of pressure.

Blargh! That memory was buried forever! (note: if you don't know what this is... lucky you, but DO NOT GOOGLE IT)
Anyway, I was thinking Taco was a dragger, or possibly a duel dragger (the woman and the other guy he talked to?) since he was trying to pair up Eskimo Brothers?

We still have a few people who haven't chimed in yet. I'd prefer to wait on hashing out any info until we've heard from just about everyone.

Dude... When somebody says "don't do it", you should probably listen. I did not listen to you.
The "damsel in distress" bit and "foul beast" language makes me think Knight, not detective.
I'd normally agree, but it's also very Clouseau-like IIRC. The "foul beast" bit is probably more to do with the actual monsters that are in that part of the write-up.
