The Prophet of Regret and General Raam were vexed by the presence of the superheroes.

Mister Fixit (the Grey Hulk), Captain Comet, the Hawks, the Martian Manhunter and the Nova Corps were phenomena they weren't used to.

They seemed to be more than enough to supplement the limited Halo forces and the Rannian defense keeping the invasion in check.

Captain Comet and Mister Fixit were polar opposites personality wise but they were becoming friends in an opposites attract kind of way.

Hawkman, Hawkwoman and Starhawk were giving it to the Covenant forces as well.

The Covenant needed an edge of some sort.

Day 75: Early Evening; a replicated planet Rann, in an alternate reality.

Blanka was just leaving after a visit with his mother Samantha. They were back in Brazil where he grew up in the jungles.

He decided to take a romp in the jungle and was captured by a rift in reality.

Anya Stroud lived again. Not only that but she was young again. She was in full battle gear.

She was wearing her GoW armor and she was armed with an MK2 Assault rifle among other things.

She had no idea where she was or why she was here.

The Flood Infection arrived. It was the secret weapon the Prophet of Regret and General Raam needed.

The first swarm appeared and the only thing standing in it's way was Anya Stroud of the GoW universe who had no idea of the threat she was inadvertently facing.

The Flood Infection saw Anya Stroud and began to try to swarm her in order to infect her.

Anya Stroud saw these strange alien creatures reaching for her and she naturally recoiled. Luckily her armor seemed to protect her from their assault at least temporarily.

Blanka emerged from the rift in reality and saw the female soldier apparently besieged by bizarre looking creatures he couldn't possibly categorize.

Blanka reacted immediately, summoning electric shocks that drove the creatures off of her before she became infected.

Unfortunately that only drove them to attack unsuspecting Rannian citizens.

Anya Stroud had sent out a distress signal which was received by her fellow Gears of War colleagues. Marcus Fenix could not believe what he was hearing. Anya? Here?

Marcus Fenix feverishly ordered the Armadillo to intercept.

Blanka turned to look at the woman he had saved.

Anya Stroud saw a ferocious green monster that some how managed to trigger her mother instincts. She saw the vulnerable inner child trapped inside.

Anya was well aware that Blanka had saved her somehow but she was bewildered as to what or who he could be. She only knew that despite his fierce appearance he inspired a motherly sense of protection in her.

She wanted to defend him much the same way he had protected her.

The Flood Infection moved on and began to attack vulnerable citizens of Rann.

An epidemic was about to enfold.

Anya Stroud and Blanka saw what the Flood Infection was doing to the unprotected locals and they began to rush in to start destroying the things. Anya with her weapons and Blanka with his lightning.

Eventually they managed to destroy the Flood Infection forms that had appeared when they had but they could do nothing for the hapless Rannians that had suffered infection.

The Prophet of Regret soon learned that he now possessed one of his greatest weapons, the Flood Infection.

He began to unleash it on the forces defending Rann.

The Armadilllo arrived in response to Anya Stroud's distress call accompanied by a Rannian policeman flying alongside and a Spartan soldier from the Haloverse.

The Spartan soldier recognized the effects of Flood infection and destroyed the infected Rannians before they could spread the infection further. This caused a clash with the Rannian policeman because the latter; not aware of the nature of the flood infection saw that as an execution.

Marcus Fenix rushed to embrace Anya Stroud. He had not expected that she might turn up here. He had assumed it would only be his immediate teammates.

Damon Baird, Augustus Cole and Dominic Santiago were trying to size up Blanka who appeared to be a dangerous monster to them.

When they received the reports, Adam Strange and Master Chief were forced to break away from the battle at large with the Covenant forces and go investigate. John 117 needed to investigate why a Spartan might be charged with several counts of murder by the Rannians and Adam Strange was worried that maybe the Spartans might not be what they seem.

Evil Ryu and M. Bison listened to what the Dominators had to say.

They learned of the Dominion and they learned a bit about the nature of this reality, from the Dominion point of view.

This seemed like much larger than the simpler world they had been stolen from.

The evil Street Fighters agreed to work with the Dominion. The Dominators took all of them off planet and sent them to Earth in a spacecraft so that they could work as agents of the Dominion on Earth.
