"Indeed," Fiddler agreed. "Now a sonorous melody designed to lull the listener into a trance-like sleep, that would be subtle." He played such a melody on his instrument and Black Canary's eyes rolled back into her head and she fainted dead away.

Red Hulk turns off Indom, attacks the Ninja. AV10 on DV16. Gets 5. Mercy makes it 12, which means he doesn't get a chance to shake it off with SS.

Bullseye RS to G15, triple targets Tarantula, Jakeem and Psylocke, AV12 on DV17, 18 and 18 again. Gets 4. Ugh.

"Stupid ninja," Red Hulk said, backhanding the assassin into oblivion.

"You don't mess around do you?" Bullseye asked, sending a hail of deadly playing cards at the enemy.

The Thunderbolt leapt into action, gathering up all the missiles before they could hit any of their targets. "Hm, all I got's a pair of fours," he said, looking at the cards. "I fold."

We don't have a big gap but the game somehow feels going my way slightly more. Not totally sure why.

Kingpin, with his ninjas, have been a sort of silent mvp here. Via Tarantula he outwits Bullseye's esd.

Psylocke on Bullseye. In my mind, this could be a good match up in comics. Needs 6, rolls 6. 3 to him.

Cyclone sides to E7. Psylocke sides to E8.

Tarantula leaps on the Red Hulk kicking him with his tiptoes and knocking him off his feet. "What do you know, I've hurt the Hulk. Little old me."

"That's right, gloat," Red Hulk says looking up, "That'll make me utterly destroying you that much sweeter."

Red Hulk is Stealthed. Part of his Trait. Doesn't strike me as a Stealthy character but there you are. Jakeem can't Outwit him. With his Invincble still in play, Tarantula can do 1 on Rulk since he has Precision Strike. But then since Invincible can reduce Penetrating Damage, his follow up attack would do no additional damage. You still want to go ahead with that?

Fair point. Totally missed that.

Knowing that I was going to risk Tarantula to block I'd have boosted Tarantula's damage (with Jakeem adopting perplex instead of outwit). It ends up doing only 1 altogether but so be it.

You'd have boosted his Damage? Not his DV? Damage wouldn't have made sense if you knew it wouldn't have made a difference.

Bullseye will be missed, but perhaps I will take the next best thing and go with Deadshot, the WKD version

Hate to pick on old Tarantula, but like Mt. Everest, he is there.

Songbird Sides to F23, TKs Deadshot to M19, AV12 on DV17, maybe 18. Gets 7. Point is moot, he's hit either way, for 3.

I don't understand your question about Tarantula. If I'm pushing him to a probable ko of course I'll boost his damage. Might as well have him go out with a bang, right? So Rulk should be at 2, coming in last turn with 1 and 1 more from Tarantula.

Sadly, he's gone, but it was good to play him.

Jakeem wastes a turn on Dehydrated guy. Needs 4, rolls 5. I guess it's good he did that roll on him then.

Do I bring in a JSAer or assassin? I may regret the points but JW Ra's al-Ghul debuts. He drops a laz pit in E7. Stargirl tks him to E10.

Ra's charges to G15 going for Rulk. Needs 5, rolls 12. Argh. He doesn't get to use his flurry. I won't risk blades...or do I have to? His damage is 3, plus the critical hit but that comes after, right? If I'm right, Rulk takes 1 and is knocked back to G17 but you'll correct me. Bummer as Ra's is likely to pay for that.
