Yes. I believe that Feather of the Phoenix is a very good card for this deck. Reason being is that you need to trunade about 2-3 times each turn to keep drawing and burning yourself via oath, like Zoa said to me earlier in the thread.

That's cool how you're making a Quiz deck. Do you have any suggestions on improving my deck/helping me dig myself out of my huge losing streak?

Hey monkey..doesnt pigeon holding book of spells look at the opponents cards? Why would you want to do that....now that i see that drop those for anothe magical mallet and anothe pendent....or maybe some other useful card

Im starting to note Dragged Down I overrated it quite a bit back then. Looking for a solid replacement. Ive use virtually the same decklist minus a few details. Havent had much trouble with it. Its not a 100% win guaranteed because theres a lot of times I throttle through 25+ cards on the first turn then realize that my LP is too high to win, and the field is too stacked to use WoRL and go ahead.

Aside from those scenarios which were simply bad planning on my part, its not too hard to pilot Quiz as long as you are thinking logically.

EDIT: I replaced my 3 Dragged Downs with 2 Final Countdown and 1 Confiscation so far. Thats a lot of burn power.

AFAIK ... Final Countdown is the new WoRL replacement. Works well with Spell Repro ... so now the deck can FTK a whole lot more reliably with less risk of failing the Quiz. <3

Dropped 2 WoRL for 1 more Final Countdown and 1 Prohitibiton. Deck running a whole lot more smoothly.

That's sweet Zoa! When I originally made the deck I ran a Final Countdown in it. But the majority of people told me to take it out so I did..... :ermm:

But now that you brought it back up I think I'll test it out and see how it runs. I agree with you on the smoothness aspect. Being a spell and all it should really help out the deck! This may have been just what I was looking for...

Time to address somethings.
For the comments regarding "unlucky staff writers", zoa is reffering to me pulling Quiz wrong.
Feather of the Phoenix is good, as it helps iwth Oath, AND it lets you re-use stuff, like Giant Trunade, or graceful charity.
Draggged Down ARE useless.
As for the Trunade's down to 2. It hurts, but you can survive.
Use the RML's, just becareful with ration or you WILL call quiz wrong, like i did. grrr...
As for cards, if you are going to slow, then throw in Card Destruction( if it's not already in there)

Lastly, Tyrant Dragon, didn't you and I team against someone and I quizz'd them? Remember that ? XD

I've updated my deck with a few fixes here and there, the Final Countdowns are working rather well, and the cut back on Convulsion of Nature is just for testing purposes right now.

I'm trying to find the best way to make my draw engine get going fast enough, recently it's been problematic.

WOOOO! I finally am going to a tournament! (It will be in a week or so when my ebay card's arrive)

But while I'm waiting for my ebay deal I'm going to have to finish up my side deck. So far I've got:

Final Exam! - Sided Magical Explosion

3x Magical Emplosion
3x Reasoning
2x Monster Gate
1x Dark Magician of Chaos
1x Stray Lambs
1x Recycle
1x Magical Mallet

I only have 12 cards in it right now. I'm pretty confident about siding magical explosion. It's either that or Self-Destruct side deck... but I wasn't sure if they still count 1 win and 2 ties a match victory for a player, or if you have to just get 2 wins.

Does anybody know if that's true?

If you can just go 1-0-2, I think I may do the Self-Destruct side deck, it may be rather cheap, but it works great especially siding into a Quiz structured deck.

So please help me prepare for the upcoming tournaments.

i have never played against one of these decks befor...so for your side the only thing i can suggest is divine wrath for your side deck....or solomn judgement....to get rid of those cards that could realy hurt your deck.....like horus LV 8 which i know can hit the feild very fast...or add kuriboh to handle those OTK decks

how about big eye he lets you see the top 5 cards of your deck and rearragne them as you like then you can pull off the combo a little quicker or help set off the combo....this deck insires me to try it out and thats kinda kool

but i do have one question if you play Quiz and send a fd pendent to the gy and you only have 500 lp do you lose right then and there or do you wait for quiz to resolve????
