Rayla was like universally panned by the Poj0 COTD staff at the time, and not in any decks I can recall until some super huge deck outs were posted much later--but it just didn't make an impression on the meta to I'm sure someone played it somewhere, lol. Spell tutoring didn't get the respect it deserved really until after Diamond Cutter got big post-Rampage. Maybe that has something to do with tutoring for creatures being more important to most decks out at the time. But, even the deck that brought Cutter into the limelight chose Laguna over it. Rayla will just go down as one of those slept on cards.

I can still offer nothing but disdain for someone claiming to "invent" the idea of running a certain color combination (there ARE only five colors to choose from...), and such attitudes as you show can only increase this disdain. You won't be returning? Excellent.

On a more on-topic note, I've been trying out Forbos in a new Light/Darkness/Fire deck I'm working on, which sports Forbos, Phal, Mist Rias, as Light is the deck's main component. It's quite effective, for sure, in putting pressure on the opponent through grabbing Lost Soul, Apocalypse Vise, or Holy Awe to sweep them with. Even just thinning the deck is nice, really, but standing to gain so advantage from it the next turn is incredible. This is of course just a rehash of what has been claimed earlier in the thread, but now I've played it in a recent build, so it has more personal relevance to me.

Maybe I'll revive my Cataclysmic Eruption deck with Forbos to search out opportune Cataclysms :p

In another thread, where you claimed to have invented BUG, you wanted us to remember sonicdragon, so here we go...let's see...Ryoma should remember some of this...you were banned from this site for being a spammer and a plagarist. You copied Magic articles from starcitygames.com, altered them to use DM card names, and then posted them here. You posted very offensive spam here. You also posted a Mana Destruction article from Scyre by Poj0's DeQuan Watson here and claimed it as your own. You posted copy works not only here but at Poj0 where your so-called work was removed from Poj0 by Bill when it was brought to his attention that your submitted work was plagarised. You didn't get credit for anything here b/c you either plagarised it or weren't the first to do it. Don't insult this game or its players or spam up someone's relevant thread b/c you're mad ppl are recognizing rogue builds that you didn't make.

I didn't claim to create Phal, Forbos or the synergy between them, lol. WoTC obviously did that. I never said something as ridiculous as I invented "D/W/F/L" like how you are saying that you invented "BUG." Geez, there are only 5 civs in the game, anyone could have been playing a D/W/F/L deck or BUG. I did something rogue with D/W/F/L, hence the attention it got and the attention ppl who tried new things got with their winning decks.

Sure, just like YGO and Magic players we DM players want credit for the work we do with our DM decks. But, even if someone played something like it before me, they didn't post it. I had Forbos in a major event winning Phal Control build before you even made your first post in this thread. It matters not to me that you may have made one off spoilers, which is such a cop out lie. The point is you didn't post anything here first (or anywhere else first), and when you did post a build it was my deck with Ryoma's suggested fix. Just save yourself the embarassment and stop lying about this deck and BUG decks. You had nothing to do with either builds, lol. Liars don't get recognized for anything other than lying.

Why did you post in this thread congratulating me for creating a rogue deck and then post up a build that copies its composition from my deck? Why have you always tried to be apart of what Ryoma and I do here? Think before you insult. Brown-nosing and then insulting when you are turned down is a clear sign that you can't argue your points intelligently and that you're trying to exact some type of pathetic revenge.

I don't have a big head about my skills or my deck. I have gone over matches were I have lost. When ppl think that I have never lost, I correct them. In my very first post about this version of Phal Control I stated how it had flaws and even what most of them were. When I revealed this deck I didn't do it in a self-absorbed way or claim that this deck was top seat. I'm modest to the point that it amuses some ppl I face b/c they know me from one of the DM sites, lol.

I said your build was "primed" b/c your deck worked off my deck--right down to the card counts--it was nearly the exact same thing as my deck, lol, why would I diss it in that case? I won't diss variations on my deck, but I will point out why I wouldn't use them. Your version doesn't introduce any new concepts, but it does introduce a new hole...Giga? Speed decks will have a field day with your version. Don't get a big head when you're working off someone else's tech--especially when everyone knows it.

NMZmaster, your deck doesn't sound like a rehash to me. I hope it works out for you--and I remember how much I liked the shell of your Eruption deck. Mist Rias--I haven't tried that yet in my Light based Control builds due to not having the spread of creatures that could ignite the draw engine. Anyways, do tell how it goes. Light has been on the backburner for so long now. It's nice to see so many of us using it and reporting success with Light in different ways.
