Yeah, then again, if Kizan is anything to go by, perhaps they were the predecessors to the Six Samurai or at least younger or something like that. Or maybe only Kizan, like Grandmaster, lacks it. Guess we'll have to see.
Only too bad you can't protect against mass destruction effects outside of certain situations, but that's understandable at least.

Plus if ever there was any deck where it was good to run starlight road in ...
I mean you're going to want to keep gateways out, I tend to keep my Uniteds out for extra counters for gateway as well , and a swarm deck that is vulnerable to cards played widely these days : mirror force, torrential tribute, dark hole, black rose dragon, icarus attack, gladiator beast gyzarus, judgment dragon). Enough reason to protect from multiple card destruction
especially when you know that's the only way to really disrupt sammies.
Thing is I want to keep my backrow safe as well. Keep them counters racking up for when I need them.
That makes sense, honestly I have a ton of rust right now. Do you think Starlight Road would be a better fit here or does the abundance of Trap Stun hurt it's effectiveness too much?
This is where I wish there was a Customs of the Imperial Court for Continuous Magic Cards XD

Magic Reflector
Group: Spell Card
Type: Spell
Select 1 Spell Card that remains face-up on the field and put 1 counter on it. If the selected card is destroyed, the counter is removed instead of the card being destroyed.
bam, protected. lol. obviously that was a joke, because other than gateway, i dont really know what that card would be usefull for, using starlight would be the best option since it protects everything.
but i dont like dropping gateways in singles merely because the gain itself isnt as advantagious as i would like it to be and in the end, it will prob get destroyed fairly easy. but with card d., 2 united and 2 gold sarco, i havent been having much trouble stalling a turn or two to get two gateways down to realy reap the advantages. its been working out so far. the only instance when i had to drop a gateway to do be able to do anything, ill be darned if it didnt get mst'd before i even suymmoned a monster. lol. i scooped hard. gateway and a hand full of otherwise vanilla samurai, awesome.
Well, I know that, but that's just 1 time use really, lol. A Customs would be constantly monitoring and can protect all your Continuous Magic Cards and not just 1 selected one =)
And, like My Body as a Shield, it's too bad Destruction Jammer also only protects monsters.
well all in all, i run mbaas, but only cause ive been trying this conservative play style lately, what with all the possible nukage going around now. and i think the main thing is to be able to build up a field and keep it in a six sam build. after you get a sizable field with shogun out, its easy to dominate the rest of the dual as long as you dont let yourself get dark holed, or torrentialed or somehtign liek that. so in that case mon protection is good enough for me. and besides, with mbaas i can act from hand against things like torrential or force. so i enjoy its uses.
well idk how that would play, tht would stop like half of the cards in use. nukage has become such a huge part of the game its unreal. if that card it, people prob wouldnt know whta to do. they would be in turn 5 of a duel, scared and confused cause theyve never went this long before. lol.
what? you mean i have to attack the actual monster? ........you can do that!? lol
but least thats where the sams do get some kind of an edge, unless its mass nukage, they will be able to play around alot of it.
But yeah, that's the point and how it's pretty much been for the past few formats. If people won't willingly change, then Konami has to force them like they were with the lists, lol.
lol halfo i looked back and saw you said it would be cool if armor could union to a shien lol yea that would be cool a 3000 atk shogan that limits you to one spell/trap per turn an wont be detroyed the first time and if he destroys a monster you draw ahah wow it wouldve been nice...
but ive also been trying to make a mill deck outta six sam's with card trooper, riko's and what not i mean double edged's backs to the wall and enishi would be really popular and would run a couple of each dont know if i would make it half light sworn though in like halfo said you gotta see the side effect of milling other cards like gate way's even though it would help[ the last efefct of gateway ss shien from grave.. i duno its alot to think about.. but six sam's havnt really had a popular mix because the whole if you control another six sam effect...
plus warrior returning alive would have to be up to 2-3 for control like getting grandmaster and start the swarm..
mabey some hand destructions if your gonna mix the six sams with something i would probley say mill... i belive you can play off the graveyard with six sams
my bad halfo lol umm but if you think theres alot of sighns that this deck can play off the grave cunning of the six can be for more control on what you have on the field theres more support then people give it credit for..
