I just have to buy a booster to play at my venue, but i don't really care because I wouldn't be able to stop myself from getting at least one a trip anyway.

At my venue except for sealed events it is a $5 fee for store credit. You can get whatever you want ie food boosters le's or uniques. For sealed events it is just the cost of the packs which work out to about 25 for 3. That sounds completely fair.

I agree totally to the earlier posts about supporting the local venues. Everyone likes having a place to go to when they want to play and socialize. The venue I run at is still trying to compete with the other shops in town and consistantly has clean facilities and will sell sandwiches cheap and are always friendly. Heck the people that run the shop are all family.

I know there are some that don't like to pay to play but there no such thing as a free lunch. If you get something out of it you enjoy that more when you do get something. For the confortable chairs which ours are very there are costs involved. The atmosphere is great and if we lost that well then people are resigned to playing at home or like someone else said the local bus station.

If you had a group of friends over chances are you would spend around 5 bucks a head or the lot of the group would on soda snacks or food anyway. The venues are just trying to make sure they can be around for that.

Enough of a rant sorry if that went long but I feel really strong about making sure that venues envoys and players alike don't feel cheated and can still have fun.
