Well, given the pilot cost table, +1 speed for Assaults is 3 pts, +1 attack for Assaults is 13 pts, and +1 defence for Assaults is 12 pts.
3+13+12 = 28 pts.
+2 attack for Assaults is 31 pts, while -1 defence is -11 points
31-11 = 20
the cost for this pilot is correct. I think this will see play with the extremely offence-oriented players. My old school SS would love this guy. Do massive damage, watch as the now pitiful attack cannot hit the defence.
I have seen another assault mech pilot - P-022 Sanglamore Academy. It's only 13 points for +1 Mv, +1 Attack, +0 Defense. I think this pilot card will see more play. It's cheap and all the modifiers are positive.
i have also seen this item as well as the gear card however this is against the WK rules regarding selling pre-release items isnt it? :surprised :surprised
i was recently at a convention where WK showed some new FI stuff an, while i can talk about it, these were not available for sale so how comes these rules are different for the Phillipines?

There have already been eBay auctions for FirePower pieces from sellers in the United States, so the rules are not any different for other countries.
there is also a Assault Electronic camo card on Ebay for 30ish ponts. I think im going to pair that one with Chikako in the next cityfight we have. +recruit to DF and we have a 16" range 5 damage streaks with no possibility for return fire.

Hey I thought preview boosters of the next expansions are always available at the conventions, which make its way to E-bay later, and then bought by 3rd world players like me.
But no I haven't got the chance to hold a single FI booster yet. Just stressing out a point that all is fair wether you came from 1st or 3rd world country at E-vil-bay as long as you have an international credit card. :p
The stuff popping up on Ebay is from Wizkids. They sometimes send booseters in advance of a release to venues to help show off the product. The venues can pretty much do aas they please, so sometimes they show up early on Ebay. Fortuneately its only been nons and some cards that have shown up and nothing has really sold for a ridiculuous price. If it were a unique or LE then we'd probably see some of those prices go through the roof.

That's not what I meant. I meant how do you justify using a 20 point pilot that makes you easier to be hit, when you can use another pilot that makes you harder to be hit, for only 8 to 17 pts extra. With only a couple exceptions, the assaults in AoD for example were most all 21 defence (and the exceptions were 22 defence) on their dials. That's great for CCAs but given the number of lights and mediums with 20 defence on their dials and evade gear, you're really no better off when it comes to an RCAs. Especially if you use a pilot that then lowers your defence value by 1.
Course I'd also like to know why the unique ursa and thunderfoxes in AoD were much worse on their dials for attack and defence values than the regular versions, and even with their matching unique pilots, they didn't get much better. That also occurred with caber vs eod, the former had higher defence value on its dial, meanwhile the jade hawks got better dial values in the unique versions than the starter set version, and the "fu" and "hellfire" had identical attack/defence dial values to start. So super rares didn't really end up super better compared to very rares, or rares.

How do I justify it? Easy.
I make sure that I put a very large hole in your biggest unit, or the biggest threat. Once your big Mech, or pair of light Mechs have taken 6-8 damage, you probably are not going to be able to damage my assault enough before it destroys you.
@D503
The Class A ECM card cannot be used on Chikako. In the requirements area, it clearly shows the biped Mech symbol, so it is not usable on quads.

i believe that you will find that WK doesnt allow venues to do this and the venues are aware or they get blacklisted.
these items are the first i have seen that are regular units. the other items are convention exclusives or FI sendaways like Shiro, Grinder or X-Axis. this is what makes me suspicious sorry guys. :nervous: :nervous:
the fact is that regardless of the situation we now know that there is more than 1 generic Assault class pilot in FI so the HTI becomes a poorer choice in competitive play. :(

You're confusing the Class A ECM Suite card from Age of Destruction with the Class A Electronic Camoflage card from Firepower that has turned up on eBay. The Firepower card shows both the biped and quad mech symbols, so it can be used with Chikako.
I can definitely see I biped Mech symbol under requirements, not quad. So it cannot be used by Chikako, unless it is put into the FAQ that the requirements area is incorrect.
If they do correct the requirements area, then this will definitely see play on Chikako. Being able to fire from behind blocking without getting shot in return is always a good thing.
thanks for all the replies. i believe that you will find that WK doesnt allow venues to do this and the venues are aware or they get blacklisted.

As you said -- first that you've seen -- not the first on eBay. Do a search for mechwarrior firepower, then select completed. You will see that a Grapple gear card, Yasha VTOL, and HS Hellion mech (item 5188593215) have been sold by a seller in the U.S. These items were reported and WK did not stop the auctions.
Heh, I'd think the Elec Camo will need to be FAQed. Simple muck up, thats all, but I think they intended for it to go with biped or quad. Of course, until they do, then ruling will have to be that it's for biped only.

cannot argue cos the proof is out there! :p :o :o :o
still i think they are not tourney legal right now so why pay $10+ for an uncommon or common gear card that you can get at cost in less than 3 weeks? (an i luv this plastic crak)

oh please this is too nerdy, it is obvious that the paddle shows the correct "requirements" as does the top line stating the equipment upgrade. if it needs a FAQ to point this out to rules lawyers then let them, however common sense needs to prevail sometimes... :ermm:
