Are the Ranks colors being changed?

I dont think the units have any rank colors anymore. It might be subfaction logos.
Mage Blast or magical attack I guess is the new proficiency for the wand attack type, and thus follows the regular rules for ranged combat. That being you can divide the damage how you like even though the damage is coming from a d6.
Draddog, can you give us a short answer why the old Magic Blast is not being upgraded in the same way? What is the rule wording or game play justification? Is it a figure cost concern?
also, someone please answer my question about access points and "basing" - my understanding, per the Castle rules, is that any piece on the access point at the base would be in "base" with any piece on the platform for the purpose of making a close combat attack...did you guys mess this up? or am I forgetting or missing some ruling or errata?
This is the last bit you'll see from me on the 2.0 subject. However I just couldn't resist commenting on the number of small mistakes found through out the latest two battle reports (since the first is in story format). Perfectly illustrates my complaint about the complexity. So glad I don't have to deal with running 2.0 tournaments.
I would like to point out for the record, since I was one of the people complaining most vociferously about necromancy, that I never complained the ability was weak. I am ticked that the change in the ability makes large numbers of figs I have invested in virtually useless. If anything, I argued that the way the ability is it is too powerful. If a game comes down a 50/50 roll of a necro die to get back a huge melee-er, then I think that's a problem.
Brook Turn 2: With his first action, Brook double-times his Orc Warbeast to back up the Wraith. As the Orc Warbeast has a Horseshoe speed type, it does not take pushing damage from the double-time. The Zombie Centaur, who does not have Stealth, moves behind the Werewolves who do. They shield him from Anunub’s ranged combat attack. With his final action, Brook moves his Soul Stealer onto his objective, getting him closer to the action, but leaving him way out of range.
Brook Turn 3: Brook has no reason to be cautious — he sees a chance to tie up the opposing force behind the screens, preventing them from taking other objectives and winning. He first surges the tough Magestone Golem with a Werewolf, hitting for 3 damage! The small area between the screen and wooden tower is now blocked with battle. The other Werewolf and the Wereraven move forward in the concealing terrain. The Werewolf's Stealth provides cover for the Wereraven, allowing the Wereraven to get Anunub in its range.
So is there no magic blast in 2.0 then? No ranged special abilities
that ignore hindering/blocking terrain? Mage Blast is strictly LOS?
Yes, one of the major mistakes was having a mancatcher capture the Fell with battle fury showing. I did not realize that battle fury was one of those complicated new 2.0 abilities.
Making mistakes with something new is inevitable. In fact, I still see mistakes being made in 1.0 games. I guess the difference is that some people are willing to learn something new and willing to accept the challenges the new rules bring rather than find amusement in the mistakes of others.

I thought that the terrain Anunub was on was elevated. So it wouldn't matter that the raven or centaur were hiding behind stealthed pieces. Also, wouldn't the hindering terrain modifier be ignored because Anunub is elevated(this is based on the assumption that the raven isn't actually in the terrain, which it looks like based on the pictures that they gave us)
So Basicly what I am asking is: Are the Elevated Terrain rules being changed, played wrong, or deliberately changed for this report(like when the game ended in the first battle report).
As for some notes on the new figures colors. Are the yellow, blue Red being removed and substituted with something else(as it appears on the golems) or are they removed altogether? Oh, and I really like how The ranged golems seem good at range but rather dinky in melee. Kudos on diferentiating between CC and RC skill on the figs. I just wish it could be done on 1.0 figs.
and still, nobody responds to my question about Anunub on the platform...any figure that moves to the access point on the ground should be able to "base" him for an attack, yet the battle report mentioned that the platform is big enough so Anunub wasn't on the edge (so that the "looking straight down" rule for determining base contact showed no base) so he couldn't be attacked....that is forgetting about the "access point" rule, which says that any figure at the base access point is in base for the purpose of a cc attack with any figure on the platform/tower...
am I right?? I think I am, but they played differently, I think they forgot that rule - but I'm only 99% sure...some other rules nut please confirm!!!

You are incorrect :).

No, I can't give you an answer, because your first comments was incorrect ;).
