Python, I have ran events and I have played events.... you just have to do a LITTLE more homework than you have ;)

Like I said before, i'd be happy to play in a couple games now and then when i'm available.... but i'm not trying to prove myself to you.... because nobody should have to prove anything to anyone but themself.

When one makes grand sweeping statements like "this is true because I say it is and I am great because I say I am" then I think that, if one wants their statements taken even remotely seriously, one MUST prove themselves to others. When ones arguements provide no support for ones assertions than statements, the likes of the one above, then one is likely to be treated with disdain. One one come onto a forun, behaves in the manner as described above, then acts dismissively towards those who have proved themself by both word and deed then one can expect open hostiltiy.

If you look carefully... I said in this thread and i've said before... I do NOT think that I am the greatest player. Someone who has "proven themself" can go ahead and act as hostile as they want... doesn't effect me in the least.

Now, lets get back on topic; if anyone would like to discuss the possibility of play, contact me personally. Thanks :)

You have said over and over in various threads that you were one of the best MTG players around and that you were a master strategist and one of the best players of MK around. That is why you attract so much attention.

...and... you HAVE been contacted privately about the possibility of play but have dodged all attempts at getting you to commit for a game. bshugg and Python have both attemted to get you to commit to a game and yet you claim that you are too busy and play mostly against "friends" and not in venues anyway. What is the deal? Name a time and place and I am sure you will have a dozen people turn up to see what you have. Don't ask for all this to be done in private. Do it in public, like all the statements you make about how "great" you are. Then, we shall all have the proof we desire, one way or another.

I was formerly one of the top players in the world of MTG at one point.... I have said this before. Yes, I am a great strategist.... those who know me will vouch for that. I never said I was one of the best MK players around... I did say that I was a good one... and there is nothing wrong with someone being confident in themselves.... thats what pulls us to strive. The only reason you want this done in public is because you feel very threatened by me.... and are not brave enough to do it without help. Honestly.... there are many players here in the realms who consider themself good.... why pick someone at random to provoke? Like I said... I DO NOT CARE about proving anything to you... you mean nothing to me.

To answer a number of questions and points posted on this thread.

Stormrider: I probably caused much of your discomfort on this thread because I posted in the Lions Den reference your post. Unfortunately your manner of writing gives the impression that many of us get of you, I wanted to scream when I read your post, you come accross as arrogant and superior.

Problem I see with much of what is going on here is that if someone said to me I'll come and play you my response would be something like ..

"When can you make it and do you need to stay over"

Not because I'm a great player and expect to thrash them, but because I love to play new people and enjoy the challenge. If I lose I learn, if I win I gloat (not really) ask Brutal Deluxe if I make the same mistake twice :D

You cannot be good at something like this unless you actively take on challenges, which is why we all seem to be down on S99, because he appears to duck the challenges when they are offered, yet makes claims for himself that appear ludicrous.
It is entirely possible that we are all wrong, I'm sure I speak for all of the Lions when I say that we will line up to apologise if we are, yet I am not holding my breath for that.

"I am the Borg of MK2 Strategy", is a lofty title to give yourself, which meant that those of us who are really into strategy and play would watch his posts carefully

On another subject:
Personally I have played in two Worlds and found myself lacking in both, had some great games and got shaded in a few, but would not class myself up there with the very best. Even so I am playing regularly still and hoping to make 3 out of 3 qualifications for worlds this year (unless I get an invite because of last years fellowship).

Sascha has proven himself worthy of his title and I would even go so far as to say that potential does not count for anything without challenge and achievement, so all of those "Potential" best players count for nothing unless they stand up to be counted with everyone else.

yes sasha won at worlds but steven won canadian championship,2nd in worlds and won dungeon worlds. thats pretty good.

i cant wait for nattys , i just hope i get good boosters in the qualifier. the last time i played in the 2.0 marquee, every one except me and cevulrin pulled uniques. i still managed to win, thankfuly they had no idea how to use trix yet, 2 people pulled him in that tourney. talking about luck. i got 2 relics i couldnt use. ha.
