Not to add any fuel to a dying fire, but I wanted to put in a small observation about part of this ongoing arguement...

A few people in this thread and others make comments about how the people that complain when they get nothing from WK should stop complaining when they finally do get something from WK (like the new cards)

The fact is, if it wasn't for these forums, 95% of the people playing CS would never even know about those cards, and many probably still don't. WK has made no public announcement about those cards whatsoever, and if we weren't hearing it second-hand from the select few with inside information, or the people constantly scouring ebay, none of us would have had a clue these cards existed.

If you walked up to the register at your favorite store to buy something for CS and they handed you a stack of cards -- how many of us would have said, "What the hell is this? Are these even real?"



I love playing Crimson Skies, and would love to get all the LE's and a full set of those cards, but it's probably not going to happen because they are just "extras" and not an absolutely necessary or game-winning component of the game.

It's pretty clear we aren't going to get much of anything for the next few months, but it would be really nice if someone from Wizkids showed up and took thirty seconds of their time to say something as simple as: "We haven't forgotten about CS. We're working on squadron X and some more aces, but they won't be out for another X months."

Even if it's a long way off before we see any new products, it would at least give us something to look forward to.

envoys are rewarded. Some have issues with how it works, but its there. Going into any detail violates confidentiality.

Ok Rapier i know that how envoys are rewarded normaly from Wk at least here. And why so shy what is bad to get some free models for work on the hobby you love. What wonders me more if in one gameline not many things are made how coud they get free models what they don´t have allready?

Ok but enought about Envoys and reward. I just look on ebay for this CS Cards. Its true some one is selling all and put an picture of it in. the first 12 looked realy like calender. Then 5 cards are squadrons after what i seen.(look like the picture in the boxes. and the last cards are personals. the pictures is not the best but it helps. For the People collectiv Easter is on one off the cards. Now i wait for them. And how to get them.

I've been watching the eBay sales since they first appeared, since only one venue in our area has the cards, and they're saying they'll be following WK's recommendation to the letter - one pack to each person who buys anything CS. So, I have to buy a duplicate something to get 11 cards. Pfft.

Current prices are $20 for a set or $30+ for 13 or so packs unsorted. And that's what those of us in my situation will likely have to pay to get them. <sigh>

Woelf makes a good point, too... The insiders like Raven and the envoys can make all the "There's more coming!" and "They'll be supporting it more soon!" noises they like, but I challenge anyone to find a game line which took a six-month break in production and survived, especially when the products are as relatively small as CS's packs. All your optimism is drowned by the silence from WizKids.

There are a great many of us trying to make this game take off... Why does WizKids seem intent on destroying it?

For youre question i know some games who had a six or moore month break and the game survived. But in all my time as gamer what is longer then the most are lived. Companys advertised long term. No one was like Wk with holding information back. It was normal that a company made the info avaible at march and in august it hit the stores. but at least there was ever a stream of informations.

<nod> It would be something completely different if there was a "We're doing something big, but it's going to take a while" or even "We can't work on CS right now, but you'll see something in a few months". Typically, in this large a break, there would be previews and teasers, etc.

You seem to feel that the lack of information will drive player off, I submit that your constant barrage of restated complaints will drive people from this board. thereby cutting them from further info.

Do everyone including youerself a favor and go play CS and stop constamtly telling us the same things.

I'll ignore the irony that Rapierduel feels this board, and not WizKids', is the only source for information. I'll simply take the "Shut up" as it's intended. Of course, the "Look! A rainbow!" crowd has offered far less original or new points, but I guess I should shut up because some would prefer to deny reality in silence.

As for the fact that this board is a source of info, I never said it was the only source. Historically this board has been much more active than the WK one, I know Ive been here since the beginning of both, and been active on both.

I used to be of the opinion that WK would come through in the end, and still believe that there is more coming, but i'm not gonna blow smoke up your skirt. I have as much info as any other envoy and I have nothing CONCRETE either.

There are constructive approaches and non-constructive ones. Complaining is non-constructive, The energy put into this could be much better used by enjoying the game and figuring out ways for us to promote the game in the hiatus of WK's attention, (whether that hiatus is temporary as we hope or permanant as we fear)

i for one plan on using the scenarios on the cards for a new CS league starting up in January.. our local playgroup should be able to amass them all.
