Alright, so I've got a 3600 point battle coming up and it's faction pure. I'm playing the faction I have the most pieces for: House Steiner and Stormhammers. So this is what I have to offer....
5x HS Sylph
2x SH Sylph
4x HS Minigun Cycle
3x SH ATV
3x Simian BA
2x Padilla AM Tank
6x Ravager BA
8x Gray Death BA
Krystyn Shon
2x HS Combat Tech
3x Glory Fire
Heat Roll FP
It's 3600 exact. They are grouped in their formations (except for the infantry and harassers). Now, my opponent will have very little artillery, so I will have superiority there and am confident I'll be able to grind it into the ground very quickly, if it's not based or captured (I'll be very lucky to manage that last one though...). The Mad Cat set up is my major threat in this, spread across the five units, and it's biggest target will be Hammerfall. Yeah, going up against BR. I chose the heat FP over the damage one due to the high heat build up of my mechs, but hopefully it's worth it. Let me know what you think, what should I drop, what its weaknesses are and what I should put in.
Brief question...is there really a 2/2/1 Generic Steiner pilot? The only Lryan pilot I recall having that stat is Jasek Kelswa-Steiner. If that's who you're using in those mediums, generally that is not allowed (even if you're using two different versions). However, if that's the medium Haputmann from Phantom War, I don't think it had a defense point to its stats.
Ah, okay, I think I might know who that "Steiner" Pilot is now...it's Lolcat's pilot (kinda helps when you write out the full names unless it's someone like Mavlina Hazen or Dagmar or other infamous pilots).
A solid build, which of infantry is without transport ?
A presume 1 Bishop will carry tank, other infantry formation with
Centaur as base unit.
My suggestion, got another arty BA.
I have just got one HS Centaur Battle Armor.
So I put one.
Angerona Battle Armor *2 and Combat Technicians in another Bishop to ride in formation. And, Centaur Battle Armor is moving alone.
Angerona Battle Armor to compensate for the success of fire.
Combat Technicians units, depending on the situation Repair units.
Of course, I would be nice if I have more Centaur Battle Armor.
Last week, I was operating this army.
I tried to protect Mad Cat Mk IV using hindering Terrain.
The relative value of opponent's dice is almost exceeded an average of 12.
Did not fail his die. I will then organize some more defensive.
Moving Centaur alone is not great idea, first it would take him time to
get useful, its to easy target or pushed. I rather push out one Angerona BA,switch it for 2 ATVs, Minibikes or JJ BA-for solo/bumper/baser duty.
As for Madcat, it has great raw power with FP doing 7 clicks of damage,
its scary even for assults, it has also both streak and EC on dial so use blocking terrain to move about instead of hindering (he cant indirect you, but you can fire back with streaks :) and use decoy as a gear card (throwing 2x12
its a lot harder ).And base his mach if you can...
I prefer JJ BA for many reasons over Shamashes, can go in hindering, over blocking, have flamer, longer dial and you can field 3 for the price of 2-thats a formation move(no push). Speed is only downside.
