I got this combo to work once in a pcq. Actually it was a lesser version of the combo, but my character attacked with 62 to hit for 58. Actual tournament. Actual damage. It was turn 6, but it was one attack. It was awesome.

Well, now I'm at 508. Stuck once more.

Ok I don't know all the particulars however I have gathered that you are seeing what the maximum possible dmg you can deal on third turn would be. And by the looks of it most of you are using Darkoth.

Well (again not knowing the particulars)

Turn 2: Beast
Turn 3: Darkoth

Flip Unlikely Allies from resource allowing me to draw a card and team the two up.

Play 4 Savage Beatdowns on Darkoth
Flip Xaviers school untap Darkoth then Team tactics him with himself
Flip over second Xaviers school KOing the first and repeat Team tactics.

Depending on if you are allowing to interupt your chain mid resolve you can potentially do 124pts of dmg doing this.

Where people are coming up with 900+ I don't know but maybe the actually particulars could explain that.

Beast is not in play.

And it clearly states the 2 characters you have and it is currently the END of the current build phase and going into combat, so I don't see where people assume you can go back and re-do the first 2 rounds on this challenge.

FYI, the other character in play is Human Torch: Johnny Storm.

Ok I have passed bound the point of 1000 so I will tell you how to get to it.

The combination involves Long shot Mutant Academy and Swift escape..

Where do I find the exact stipulations on this "contest"?

How do yo figure swift escape is gonna help you? You have to use your 2 & 3 drops on torch and darkoth so that leaves one resource point to play longshot once. You could abuse alicia masters to play torch for free but that would require using cards that you need later.
