i think this is way off topic but here is a joke for everyone
A woman was walking down the street when she was approached by a man.
The man said, " I must have you right now! I'll drop 500 dollars on the
ground at your feet and in the time it takes for you to pick it up I can
have my way with you from behind!"
The woman thought it over and told the man to wait a minute. She called
her girlfriend on her cell phone and told her about the man's proposition.
Her girlfriend said "When he drops the $500 on the ground I'm sure you can
pick it up and run before he gets his pants down. Call me back and tell me
what happened."
An hour and a half later the woman called her girlfriend back.
"What happened?" asked the girlfriend.
The woman said, "That ####### had $500 in quarters!"

And just for the record: Team STUPID will be there in full force.
What is the latest constructed will go? The last train for CT leaves at 1:30am. If I do well, will I be able to make my train? If not, can I crash with someone and take an early cab to the train station?
I'm planning on going tomorrow just for the experience (I doubt I'll place). About how long do the rounds take? What's the usual format for PCQ? Swiss til top-8?
Also, NG's website says it starts at 2. Is that when signups start, or is that when the actual tournament starts?
that should be the tournament start-time. signups generally start 1 hour beforehand.
i was really looking forward to owning another MOS sealed, but fate has a way of smiling, and crapping on you all at once!
Turned out I had to work sunday morning, 7-10 (ad-set @ work), and there was no way out. none. Bummed to the max about having to play constructed, harvey tells me its going to be MMK anyway (a set I have utter disdain for in limited play). So, I'll be there tomorrow for constructed, hobbling together some attempt at a deck.

Rounds shouldn't be much more than half an hour. Format has always been regular swiss rounds (usually 5-6) then a cut to a top 8. Top 8 play best 2 outta 3 elimination. I'd guess the constructed will start at 2, so sign-ups start at 1. Hopefully that'll mean constructed ending around 9 PM, but ya never know.
I went 3-3, making a crucial mistake everytime I lost one.
First match I lost to team stupid because I used bring the pain without needing to.
Second match I lost to team stupid because he put a war wagon on shang-chi and I thought he got a bonus for EVERY character without f/r that attacked him, so I didn't team attack him
third match i lost because I didn't read a card, and I wasn't looking at my opponent's field correctly. he had 3 affiliations on his side, and no team up, and I would go for the character that got an attack boost from Kingpin. really stupid of me. Maybe I should apply for membership.
Hey there kilroy. It was good seeing you there at the PCQ and getting in some playing and trading. Once again I fumbled somewhere along the line and went 2-4. I think perhaps I am going for the lowest overall ranking ever with most matches played. I don't really think I made too many bad mistakes this time around, except maybe in my choosing to mulligan or not. Sorry you had to be one of the wins on my way to a horrible record.
Congrats to Rob, Team STUPID's success story of the day, getting second in the limited and getting himself up to 13 total PC points so he is qualified.
I found Neutral Ground to have a nicer atmosphere than Kings. More open and airy. The basement at Kings is a little much at times. Especially after a good rain. Too bad there is nowhere to park for free around NG otherwise I would drive in.
I made top 8 in the limited and lost in the quarterfinals. I made alot of mistakes in the third match and didn't read cards properly. Well there's always next time.
