NTZ is far from useless against FFun. Simply flipping NTZ before they recruit and calling Cosmic Radiation will limit the damage they can do that turn (cause surely you'd take more damage from it after they recruited). Though in this case you need to play it on the correct turn (play it too early and you'll get nothing out of it). The most devastating effect would be NTZ in combination w/ Flame Trap. Flip NTZ, if they don't play Child then call Child and Flame away. If they do play Child, then chain Flame Trap and if they don't have another Child then they're screwed.
CS wil be playing NTZ. end of story. there is no reason not to. for those that say people arent catching on then you'll be dead wrong in PCLA. because unlike 10ks people dont play some of the "jank fun" decks that have been T8ing. PCLA they bring the big guns yet even more people will be bringing someone elses BIG GUNS via netdecking.
the meta will be CS,AVENGERS,TT,TNB...WITH A FEW DOOM CONTROL DECKS
thats it. although tactics decks are defiently good. they arent viable here due to people ARE going to be running Nulls

You mean except for the "it takes up 4 slots that could be used otherwise" reason?
You could say the same thing about Flame Trap, Total Anarchy, Search and Destroy, Micro-sentinels, Beatdown, Dodge, Cover Fire, Nasty Surprise, etc. But you can only fit in so many cards.
As much as I hate NTZ... I am actually not sure how much play it will see. I only see a few decks that can fit it in --Thunder Tactics, CS and Kang. And of those 3, CS could probably drop it (yes... I said it) for some other tech.
Titans isn't going away anytime soon and if you aren't packing weenie hate... have fun at the 10k.
Since when is curve lacking deck slots dedicated to meta tech? Last I checked the deck LITERALLY has 10 slots it can dedicate to the meta... thats alot of cards. Problem is, it's a difficult decision as to which cards that will be. To me NTZ is an auto inclusion, as it neuters alot of decks.. and is useful in nearly every single matchup. The tough ones are total anarchy vs. micro sents.. and flame trap vs. s&d. Anarchy is obviously usefull vs. Avengers, when combined with S&D, bye bye mr. panther. DON'T think that NTZ isn't going to be there.. if you do you're setting yourself up to play in the 10k.
Nevermind, NTZ is amazing, it will single-handedly win you atleast 3 games in SoCal. If you're not playing it you won't make day 2. See you all there :).
not as many people will be packing ntz as you think. tt will still come out in large numbers. there will be a lot of rush at this pc. dalton is right with cs only having so much room for tech. to add the ntz's you will have to cut something like anarachy, finishing move, flame trap, etc.... it's a hard call cause all these cards are so good in cs.
thunderbolt tactics should do well imo. the deck can go off turn 4 and cs can't kill till turn 6 the fastest. tb tactics takes evens and cs wants odd so cs will have to draw 2 to 3 ntz to stop tb tactics.
i also suspect the good doctor to be up to his old tricks and make a thunderous return to the meta. his control of plots and the board is way to good to ignore.

You just contradicted yourself. 10 slots... if NTZ is an auto-include, that's only 6 slots left. So what do you put in there? Weenie hate? So that's 4-6 slots. It's not as easy as you think.

No one is saying that. I'm just saying that it's not as critical in a CS build as others say it is. It's hard to use against Avengers Reservist (what are you going to call? Beatdown, Heroes, Call Down or No Man's?) and Titans can still win without TTG. I also wouldn't discount Lost City decks (which NTZ does NOTHING against).
This PC is going to be more interesting than the NY one that's for sure.
(And the $10k should really have been another GA tourney -- the consolation tournament -- but I guess they need to showcase JLA.)
My Humble opinoins is that only a Handful of CS decks packign NTZ with make day 2 maybe 8, Why? Cause the People who are good at geussing the Meta (and therefore will know accually what to call with NTZ) Probally wont be playing sents cause its not the Solid Pick anymore. Its Def Doesnt Stop damage like other Decks (TT) or Deal out enough so that its ok to take the hits (Avengers, MMKO,Thunder Tactics)
I forsee CS fading into Fantastabeats Territory after PCLA, It will Be a strong Curve deck, but wont be able to have anwswers for everything out there.
Geusses at top 10 Decks after Day 1
2 TT Decks
1 Thunder Tactics (Who Will get kills on Turn 4)
1 Sents Deck (Good Player Packing NTZ)
1 LOA Deck (Dark Horse Pick That Beats Everything... Opps shouldnt have said that...)
1 BBH that One guy who always plays it will do really well
1 Midknight Sons Deck of some kind
2 Of some crazy Combo (most likely unseen before)
1 Doom Deck of some sort maybe CE.

I actually like the $10k being a different format from the PC. I think it was awful that the Indy $10k was DC Modern (I seriously don't think I would've played, and I liked GLEE!).
You really can't go wrong w/ having a GA tournament I guess, but I think the sealed ones are more fun. I had a blast playing GL Sealed/Draft at the NY $10k. The biggest downside of it being JLA is that I doubt anyone is gonna seriously be looking at JLA draft until after SoCal (maybe WW Texas will give us some insights though).
EDIT: Definitely agree that the 10k should be a different format than the PC, and I also agree that it should be Sealed from the latest set. Constructed sucks two days in a row.

NTZ certainly isn't useless but there are worse cards for FFF. Your first scenario, if timed correctly, will only delay the Cosmics for a turn. That might be enough if you can win it then/time has been called/they run out of Childs but you still have to know when the "win" turn is, and it varies from game to game.
It is actually very difficult to stop a crucial Child. The deck has so much card draw and a ton of ways to find their Mr. Fantastics or Invisible Womans that they can afford not to play Child until the latter turns anyway. Invisible Woman has that counter, the Mark II tends to be tapped down (and he should be) and the rest of their small characters are largely unimportant. Even if you get a Flame Trap on say, turn 4, if they're holding Invisible Woman and Mr. Fantastic in hand they might just let it resolve, depending on the equipment on the field.
It sucks to get Flame Trapped when you have lots of burn on the field so that's obviously when it would hurt the most. Your "if they don't have another Child" scenario isn't likely - they should have another Child, they draw a large number of cards and manipulate their draws somewhat with Mr. F and TOTB. If you have another Flame Trap to go on top you will probably need a Recon to play it unless you've not been negating with the Mark II.
I think NTZ with intent to get Child only really hurts in response to Mr. Fantastic/Invisible Woman's recruit when there is burn on the table.
Should have another Child? Your experiences w/ the deck are far different from mine then. Admittedly I don't play the deck very well but... the deck really doesn't have access to that many cards. I'm lucky if I pull 2 Childs and 2 Cosmics in a game. Having to play 2 Childs in a turn would at the very least mean I don't have one for the next. Maybe I'm playing a bad version, I dunno.
