So far we were aware of that here by the representative of UDE France, but you know there is one single VS forum here in the french community and the guy posted someting like **translate** "No PC in europe for 2006, we are sorry" few months ago.
I agree with you they could have give us some sort of explanation, but I don' know if I want to heard another lie...
You other guys in EU were not aware of that fact or this is just another recurrent post that came on the problem ?
because on my side I know that for 2006 it's burn for a PC since quite a long time.
Originally posted by kamiza That statement said it all. My biggest problem is not so much the fact that the rest of the world does not seem to have the same support as the US. My main gripe is UDE not acknowledging it. How hard would it be for UDE to come out and say, the reason we are not venturing outside of North America is [X]. The reason you always get sets late is [X]. It is not possible to please all consumers all the time, but how hard would it be to say "Hey guys, sorry you don't have a PC, but it's just too expensive right now"?
Because if you don't support an area and tell them, then when you are able to support them there won't be any players left. They'll have all left due to the lack of support.
If they just keep leading you on with vague promises and long silences they have a better chance of keeping as many people as possible in the game with the hope of having a PC and better product support, then they would with statement [X].
Originally posted by Dark Knight69 Does UDE have a headquarters or office in Europe? Didn't realize that. It's hard to compare YGO and VS because YGO is also supported by Konami.
DK
The Upper Deck Europe head office is in Weesp in the Netherlands, several European countries then also have branch offices...

Rob was Head Judge at GENCON. So you'd be better off asking Ray or Gideon but as we know finding them is rather hard. I'd simply put it this way.
If You find it hard to play Vs stick to your local store and maybe venture out for PCQ's within a 30 Mile Radius (I.E not at all in the UK).
If you want to play big make trips to European 10K's. This is just the way UDE markets Vs to europe. If you want it that badly get fetch it. If you can't don't construct an argument unless it's with a relevant person.
On the subject of the JLA delay i'd just simply write a letter of complaint and complain you attended a PCQ where players have been able to access the set and you haven't. Demand an Entry refund and your costs for the day.

Those of you that know me will know that Vs is a game that's near and dear to my heart. I would LOVE to see a non-US PC, but I'm sure you appreciate just as much as I do that decisions of this nature aren't taken by lowly organized play reps, and that the people who do have to take these difficult decisions make them with all the relevant information and opinions at their disposal, and make their decisions based upon that.
My job is to promote organised play in the UK at a store/ hobby league level. The more events, locations and players we can get on the books can only serve to strengthen your arguments to Upper Deck.
Please remember that we at UK Organized Play are but 4 people (actually 3 currently), but we're working VERY hard to try and create a lively and competitive community for you all to be a part of here in the UK.

That's just one cynics opinion.
I believe this would be the opinion of all cynics:)
The whole 'getting' shafted thing seems a bit rediculous. The only thing the company owes any of us is 14 cards a pack. One rare, three uncommons and ten commons. (one of the above needs to be foil) Yours is the choice to either buy or not buy. Support certainly may sway your opinion to keep buying, but 14 cards is all they owe you for your money. The pro tours are a bonus. The PCQ's are a bonus, as a matter of fact someone else in your area to play with is a bonus. The attitude of this whole thread has sucked because it was started with such a negtive concept, all it could do was attract flames.
As for the American bashing, I stopped reading the cut and pasted novel at the Jerry Springer mention. Springer is an incredibly biting and timely insult. You have insulted the entire country proper with that gem of a post.

Question. When (and if) will you be announcing the updated PCQ schedule for Jan-Mar (and Any 10k's you'd be will to add:p )

Thankyou Mr. Hooley. All it takes is a little communication to sooth the turmoiled soul of this 30 year old VS addict. Whilst you are not able to provide a definitive answer, the fact you respond to the thread goes a long way in my book.
Thanks again. And good luck with all your organising thingymajiggies
