First off: Backs against the wall- Terrible... it's unplayable... this card has no real potential... anyone that comprehends this game will know that stunning 2 characters to stop an attack is not worthwhile... in all the games ive tested my morlocks evasion i have never once seen a point where i would want to stun 2 characters to stop an attack... and why isnt anyone running the hill ? i draw an extra cards every game because of it and it is usually very helpful... also Tar Baby= god... his ability will destroy dr light decks.... i mean destroy.... there have been decks in my area that were untouched and morlock evasion owns them becuase of leech and tar baby... Toxin is also my main 3 drop... with morlock justice the alley and toxin's ability it never really goes past turn 5 and by 6 it is always over.... electric eve with the alley on turn 2.... monster

Dude Batw is awesome. Very usable. You stun 2 characters to stop an attack AND to fuel cards like shrapnel that allow stun backs and to swing back.

You pretty much always want to evade your little guys so you can keep them around the whole game to power your tricks, one of which most certainly is Backs Against the Wall. If you don't think it is good, then I don't think you understand the Morlocks evasion deck. It's about making your opponent's attacks fail, and giving them no good attack choices.
That being said, since knowledgeable opponents will know you may be packing BATW's they will try to attack as though you have it, so maybe you don't need to play it. The threat of it happening is good enough.
A lot of people aren't running The Hill because its threshold 4. Yes it is good, but drawing 1-2 cards is not going to cut it when you win on Turn 5/6.
BAtW is a very good card and needs to be considered carefully for the deck.
Granted you stun down 2 characters and lose that endurance... but the added benefits balance out the card.
Turn 4/6 are key here as most who have been scanning Morlock MMA decks have seen. They will want to try and disrupt all synergy, position, and momentum you have going into those turns. BAtW covers the defensive end of that... Granted Shrapnel Blast! and Retributuion allow for defensive pumps, but when they try to take their 4/5 into your Scaleface on 6... pumps don't do crap...
Add in that if you focus the deck correctly, the evaded characters will be a bonus.
I'm thinking that Mutant Massacre is definitely getting votes to be the MVP of MMA...
batw is horrible as long as the person playing against it isn't the dumbest player in the tournament. I've tested Morlocks a lot and found them to be far less superior to either: Squad, Agro B-Hood, and Avengers Reservists. Really, it's not hard to attack their little guys with your little guys first. THEN even if the backs against the wall your highest drop, it's not like and of the 3 decks I mentioned can't attack up the curve easily. Y ou can't honestly expect to out pump defense against those decks in MMA.
Mutant Massacre is overhyped in the format also. It is really only good in Psi-Link.dec considering that deck does a good deal of stall and the few attacks it gets it can KO the characters for board advantage.
I personally expect Avengers Reservists with leaders to control the format, kinda like Michael Jacobs original GA build but with Subby and Druid to bring the count to 13 or 14 leaders. Plus, Captain America is infinitely better in MMA. Wonderman actually got worse, along with Harry Delgado only being mediocre even on your initiative.
Oh... and don't even play Sabretooth in Brotherhood... you're just wasting card space.
How much can you play around Backs Against the Wall? Explain to me how you're going to attack around Backs Against the Wall against a board of 1 through 5 or 1, 2, 4 and 5.
Personally I think the best builds of Morlocks will include some number of (i.e. 2 or 3) Backs Against the Wall and Momentary Distraction. If your opponent attacks up they're not stunning your guy and if they attack with their biggest guy they're not finishing the attack. It's hard to win when all of your attacks can suddenly fail.
its not that hard... 1v1, 2v2, 3v3... either they evade and you ready your attacker... or they dont evade and have natural stun characters, neither of which are bad.
Travis, you assume your characters all have Flight. Granted, that makes things trickier for the Morlock player, but not unbearable. Shrapnel Blast and growing Marrow go a long way to help the defense.
Your games should be finishing on Turn 5 or 6. This mean that a hill going off will net you an average of 1 1/2 cards per game. Compared to a card that can outright win you the game, The Hill is totally inferior to Backs. Also, if you only want to draw a pump with The Hill, just play more pumps?
I find a that one card that wasn't mentioned that is a staple in an evasion deck, is "Last Stand". It is better IMO than back against the wall, just because the character is not going to be stunned anyway. Also, instead of "The Hill", try using Birthing Chamber, because I find that Im keeping all of my guys out there, So he is my build so far.
4 electric eve
3 tommy
4 leech
4 tar baby
4 healer
4 storm
4 marrow
2 scaleface
1 calisto
2 ape
2 birthing chamber
4 the alley
4 retribution
4 bums rush
3 shrapnel blast
4 last stand
3 morlock justice
4 blood hound
You want to muligan for the healer or the searcher. You can always throw down Tommy later on in the game.
Most decks aren't going to have the same character curve still on the field that Morlocks will. Avengers can't evade their 2 drop. Plus, if Backs Against the Wall is making my opponent attack on curve then it's doing its job
