I think UDE should encourage (AKA offer EA's and such) to more structured tournaments. Not like Hobby League, but local events that are run at the store ownership/TO level that have the same feel in terms of competitivness as a PCQ but less prize support.
Originally posted by Orange_Soda_Man ok, I know I've said this already, but it'd be great if a prize could be to make your own card. Look at DBZ; even though they died out (the fate of any anime-based tcg), they awarded the winner of an annual tourney the chance to make their own card to be put into print ( or 1 copy for themself, I can't remember exactly right now).
and here's the dream of any comic enthusiast: the opportunity to make a character to be put in a comic! how cool would that be? If the character sucked, it could be in one issue and be killed off.
I think you should say it again. I love those ideas, almost as much as the "he said, she said" between Dave and GDE. Rock on!

We only start with 8 because we are small.
Day 1 Silver Age round robin.
Day 2 2 Drafts(1 each last 2 sets)
Day 3 Golden Age round robin.
Cut to top 2.
Finals Best of 3 for each event.
Event 1 Sealed Pack
Event 2 Silver Age
Event 3 Golden Age
The Sealed Pack would use a new set of packs each time. So there could be up to 3 sessions of building.
Silver Age would use the same deck used on Day 1
Golden Age would use the same deck usedon Day 3.
As for the drama....... I love everyone....... it's just that i have 0.1% love for some and 100.0% for others.......and the amount of love changes drastically and rapidly....

I love it, but I want it taken a step further. They fly all eight of them expense-paid to some Pacific Island or something like the other game does. Finland maybe.
also something like magic player rewards. do a mailing every so often and the amount of tourneys youve played in during that time determines what type of promo you get
