yea, I was going to pass on that series, but will probably change my mind now, since I'd like to pick up more info on the galactic Marvel universe, since I don't know much about it.

The Dr Dooms right now are pretty awesome, it's gonna be pretty hard to make new ones with better effects (or at least, as good). Although the new Kristoff card is awesome too.

the short version:
Valeria was born in our time to the Fantasti-rents, but was apparantly still born. Fanklin used his plot device powers to send her into an alternate future. She came back to the past with her "timedancing" plot device powers. some bad things happened(including Doom trapping Reed in his armor) and her and Franklin had to revive Galactus. The result was that the universe got a redo, only when it did Valeria got stuck in Mrs. Fantastic's tummy.

They worked with a lot of other teams in their history, so they should pick up a few more members from that, as well as some of their own unique characters. I'll make a list and post it up in a little bit.

I wonder if they will have a Nemesis card, or if they will completly ignore the "Ultra"verse crossover/origin of the gems story.

I'm actually a little disappointed...

I hope they do a preview dual affliation card like Dr Fate was in JLA

kinda too late, its the next set.

But I think dual affiliations is going to come back in a big way. it wasn't around in MXM, and it didn't really have a huge impact on DJL (other than being legacy cards).

My guess is that there is going to be something like Mutant in MXM. Characters will have 2 "affilations," characters torn between loyalty with different synergies either way.
