What's the problem with 18 friends coming together as a team as opposed to those same people playing together but not calling themselves a team? Whatever it is, I don't see it.

Dave loves drama, we all know this. He is a drama queen and always will be. If he can rock the boat, he will. That's where you all are having your problems. Dave claimed that TDC would win every North American 10k and put muiltiple Asses into the top 8 of every PC. And he said so without flinching. That's where the problem lies. People hate it when the big kid brags about his new kick ass bike and how he can jump it off the hospital on ramp onto the parking garage and then backs it up instead of falling on his ass. Well, we aren't all Dave. I love the big guy, he's a riot. But man o' man does he love to push people's buttons. I guess he's such a fan because of how much of a master he is at it. So, Dave will be Dave. No reason to be surprised by it. :)

All this talk about TDC gobbling up every player this side of the Mississippi and a few from just a bit further, its not going to happen. The hyperbole is appreciated, don't get me wrong, but its just not going to happen.

We play, we test, we laugh, we eat, we enjoy each other's company and in the end, we put up good finishes. Not because we don't deserve it. Not because we used our bulk to bully everyone else out. But because we put in the time and effort to get there.

That's who the #### Heath Baker is ladies and gentlemen! This kid is going to wreck you this year. I am behind your post 100% except for this one thing. I conceded that we might not win the ones at the PCs simple because I expect all 18 of us to be in the top 32 of the PC.

While I do love the drama, I really only made that claim because I see the effort we make, I see the talent the team has, and I know how poorly the competition is at your average 10k and PC. I mean seriously, as badly as I play, I have made 5 10k top eights and 2 PC top eights. Does anyone really think that skill + effort on the part of the players of teams like FTN and TDC will give anyone a chance at these tournaments. Obviously people will luck into a finish here and there but do you really think you stand a chance in beating Neil Reeves, Doug Tice, Vidi Vagina, or Mike Dalton when all draws are equal. Not going to happen. The pro circuit is dead...just send us the checks.

Uh Billy.... casual players do play in PCs and 10ks. They'll even play in a PC if they have the points (ask Eric Lui... Mr. Drop Round 1 just to get the Trask EA). So you grow a brain.

And Stu... you have to give casual players more credit than that... some of them will not bend to a pro no matter what.

With that being said... I think Dave will find it very hard to keep his 10k promise. As big as TDC is... they can't add every player in every top 8 at every 10k... there are still players out there who don't care who Dave Effin Spears is. And I'm pretty sure that an offer of membership into TDC really doesn't matter to many people. So he can insult the competition as much as he wants... because I can guarantee that there are players who are better than TDC at every 10k they attend.

I love TDC... uber teams are great for VS. I don't think we have to worry about them hurting the game... it just makes other people better and want to win more... especially people who can go 8-2 with a "trash" deck and finish Day 2 with a higher record to make more money than them.

TDC, FTN and all those other teams are awesome because it just makes every other person on a team or not on a team play much better then they have too.

Some people think intimidation plays a big factor. It may but some players need to get over that. I love playing pros win or lose. I learn alot from the way they play

by definition, casual players do not play in money events. i don't care how casual you are, if you play in a money event you are not casual. period. end of sentence.

I find the thought of being intimidated by someone playing Vs to be extremely amusing. I mean its a freaking card game played , for the most part, by people who are anything but intimidating.

This isn't someone handing you the ball and telling you to take it up the middle on the Steeler defense or anything.

Why do you keep bringing this up? Do you honestly think we are going to gobble up every good player we see? Just because we added two players, doesn't mean we are going to try to take over the world. I'll go on record as saying unless Patrick changes his mind, we will not be adding any more players this year.

I am going to second what Heath said. Yes, we are rather large. But the thing is, we are mostly all friends. Is it because I was so arrogant about things when I first broke the story that we now can't leave it as a lot of friends playing and testing together. We are no different than FTN....just twice as big.

For the record, the winner of the last three 10ks not at a PC have been someone from the original founding members of TDC. That would be the original six for those trying to keep up.

theres many teams in any card game yet they dont hurt the game so who really care's ?good luck to them but let's not forget this is a game so let's not take a teams excelent performance in such a serious manner.
