Originally posted by TheMadHatter Some amazing cards in this set. Anyone do a double take reading this one:
June Moon ◊ Enchantress, Bad Witch
Character, 6, Shadowpact, 12 ATK / 12 DEF
Activate >>> Stun target character. If you have more than 10 endurance, that character’s controller moves June Moon to his front or support row, and she gains an affiliation of that player’s choice. Use this power only during your attack step.
Makes me wish Nyssa Ratko could have gotten an as potentially game winning effect.
Shadowpact is going to be very interesting.
She's only during your attack step. Check out the 4-drop instead!

Just because they've previewed a lot of the rares doesn't mean there are any more rares in this set than normal. Rare cards are generally more interesting, and they probably wanted to generate more hype than showing us commons may have done.
Well I'm officially hyped for this set now. I just made up my mind at 12.30 am (literlly the last minute) that I'm going to the sneak peak. Wooohooo! Lol.
I didn't see that Bad Witch card. Just a big HUH???? went across my lips. That card gives me a feeling all main teams in this set (2 already) will have some Stun target character cards.
What I meant by the Rare-heavy thing is that all the rares we've been shown so far have been just awesome. It gives me fear about the power of commons/uncommons, since usually Powerful rares mean weak commons/uncommons.
to go along with their theme of being randomly teh awesome ;) .
But seriously, I think it was just to give titans something for silver 'cause they have crap-diddaly sqat for it right now. Granted they'll get a boost in December or whenever it is, but by then Galactus will be around to give 'em the good 'ole smack-around they deserve.
Shadowpact does seem kinda rare-heavy, but not as much as its been hyped to be.
1 question I do have in reguards to the faq is Witchfire attacking Bizzarro. lets assume I am at 27. would I gain 4 or 8? (4 loss stun back)
ok, how about 24. same deal, how much is gained?
The DCR FAQ includes a great section (section 7) on triggered powers that have conditions; it lays out the different ways that these effects can be worded, and the specific consequences of each type of wording. It even brings up Witchfire by name, and it's worth a thorough read-through.
Quote
Now, there are three types of triggered powers with a condition, namely:
• “[When event occurs] and [condition], [do something].” This condition is checked only on triggering.
• “[When event occurs], [do something] if [condition].” This condition is checked only on resolution.
• “[When event occurs], if [condition], [do something]” This condition is double-checked on both triggering and resolution.
Another rules point that is very relevant is 502.4, which has been getting a lot of play recently, anyway:
Quote
502.4 Triggered powers that trigger off an object becoming stunned, leaving play, or causing breakthrough look back to the game state at the moment right before the object became stunned, left play, or caused breakthrough. This information is used to determine if any powers existed that triggered off that event and to determine any other information that is relevant to the trigger event. Powers that trigger off a character or equipment leaving play will ignore whether that character or equipment’s text is currently inactive when determining whether or not they should trigger.
Witchfire's power looks to the moment right before the stun occurred to determine whether you have the right life total to trigger her. In your first scenario, her power never triggers whatsoever. In your second scenario, it triggers because you had 24 endurance in the moment right before, and later endurance changes do not matter at all.
