Have you ever seen Japanese M:tG deck names? It's like there's some kind of national competition to see who can place the highest with the most incomprehensibly-named, excessively polysyllabic deck name.
I wasn't having a go at their names. I was more just mentioning that we could be more constructive :)
Hell I ran a deck we were calling Brownie Bites because we couldn't come up with anything and the relevant testing session involved a mini bucket of Brownies.
This thread reminds me of an old article I read about Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins fame. He was discussing how he comes up with the names of his songs (rivaling REM for randomness...).
Basically, he said that he would try to get a "feel" for the song, and describe it. I believe the example was "This one makes me feel small...like a shrimp...Shrimp live in the ocean, so I'll call the song 'Sailor Boy' or something like that." I don't think he ever named a song that, but you get the jist of the weirdness. Kevin Bacon-Name associating deck titles FTW!
and you have no idea how many times i said nigga city, by mistake
Strange how this wasn't censored by the site's profanity blocker. I actually notice this word sneaking by in more places than just here. Is it now acceptable? Since I'm probably one of the few on here regularly who has the required pigmentation to use this word without reprise, I'm not offended but very curious.....

Not directed at you personally since this is a very common viewpoint, but skin pigmentation is about the most asinine reason for accepted use of a word that I can imagine. Any word. If a word is going to offend you (which I believe is in-and-of-itself asinine) it should offend you regardless of who uses it.

i agree, an offensive word is offensive no matter who says it but my issue had to do with this word sneaking past profanity blockers.
in regards to the rest of your point, if i call my little brother a f'n so & so, it's fine between him and i. but if someone else were to call my little brother an f'n so & so, there might be fight. while calling someone an f'n so & so is generally accepted as being offensive, it can be used in some context without being so.

Context, and TONE. A random guy on the street can be laughing at something he overheard your brother say, and respond with "You're a f'n so & so", but obviously not mean any malice by it do to the fact that he is laughing...Ya'know? However, saying the same thng without the laughter in the same situation would go down COMPLETELY different.
I'm sorry if I made you angry, but last time I check, nigga ment someone who lack an Intellect, not someone who has a dark skin tone, sadfully some people may use that word in the wrong way, but I for one do not, I again apologize if I upset you personally in anyway possible
As someone of a Mexican/ Puerto Rican background, Mexican Hardware Store, just grinds my gears, lol
No one's mad at y'all. I say this word about 8 times before breakfast. Look, i'll make it 9...nigga! again, i'm just wondering how this word made it thru when so many others get blocked. Things that make you say "Hmmmmm..."
I think the reason "The N Bomb" gets through is that "Nigga" isn't actaully the problem. Same as "wetarded" and "Muh'Fuh'ka" and the like. Filters are smart, but not that smart...
