I am the most hardcore Crime Lords fan you can find anywhere. I have built a deck based on their reinforcement theme, I have built a deck around Mr. Fear, I have built a deck around Jigsaw, I have buit a deck to abuse Masked Marauder, I even tried a concealed Crime Lords built. From all my experiences allowed me to draw a conclusion on the team, they SUCKSUCKSUCKSUCKSUCKSUCKSUCKSUCK!!!! Still I love them no less
We all know what teams are absolutely horrible. But if I may, I'd like to say a word about Team Superman.
I love Team Superman. This brings me back to an old deck I built called The World's Finest Phantom Phone Booth. God, that deck was awesome. Supes everywhere, and a random Batman as an alternate at every drop, ramping up to BBBS on 8 and a possible Last Son of Krypton, depending on which side of the bed I got out of.
However, that doesn't excuse Team Superman from sucking. Playing defense is not their strong suit, I'll tell you that. I have spent many a night wondering why the protector of Earth can't put up a decent defensive shield. I guess UDE thought that the best defense was a stellar offense (Red, Avatar of Peace). And even then, you eat a stun every turn.
TS may not be THE WORST team in VS, but it's damn close. Even when you win, you almost feel like you've lost. I've wanted to chuck Big Blue and his pals out the window of a speeding car many a night out of sheer frustration.
Dear UDE,
Please don't @#&^ up World's Finest. Also, let my Look-Alike Squads spike in value. Thank you.
the only way I could get TS to be somewhat effective was to shoehorn the best attack modifiers in the game in the deck, like Beatdown, Cover Fire, and even From the Shadows (don't knock it, keeping your counters an extra turn is invaluable, especially with characters like Red and Kara Zor-El) and just play a completely straightforward combat deck. The team is just so bland that that was the only way to get anywhere.

spider-friends need work, but no where near suck, they have a good stall theme, with slaughter swamp, avalon space station, and now soul world, its hard to beat spidy 7. With that said, sttg is godly in that deck.
A guy on this site named bigdaddyrico top 8 with manhunters in a silver age pcq at 10k boston, he beat good guys, deep green, and x-static with friends, and it was pure manhunters and he top 8, so I think there decent as oppose to being one of the worst teams there.
If ur going by PC's and 10k's, then wouldnt everything suck, but HV, TT, CS, and what doom/dr. light related?
you kinda made my point for me :) A good player can take a somewhat-mediocre or tier 2 deck and win with it at the PCQ level, that doesn't mean the team is a good team. It means his skill advantage outweighed his deck disadvantages.
s'all about Stilt-Man, yo. Rep for being a CL fan in spite of all evidence of their uncompetitiveness.
Oh yes, I built the Stilt-Man/Mirco-Sentinel deck too. It was like a poor man's TNB deck, and whenever I finally got lucky and get Stilt-Man to be godly, he always gets his ### owned by Flame Trap, Reign, Terra, etc.
not true, if u make a deck with no drawbacks, how is it a bad team
for example if did the sttg+soul world on any team, u gave them a tutor, i just dont agree with u
and you take up 8 slots and 4 endurance to use it. Just because one team can theoretically do something doesn't make them good. It's not about drawbacks, it's about power and efficiency. The better teams do what they do better than the ones who aren't so good. I don't see how you can argue against that, it's just logic.
i believe i still can, ur right, better teams do better than others, but those who lack searchers, become good...except for crime lords, even with eomo, doctor light, they still suck
I've tried to make revenge squad work since they came out with a bit of sucess but they lack consistency... see my sig for crime lords lol and new gods... well mono is garbage but a team up with inhumans might be nice with san 4 source and luna maximoff throwing serifan into the hidden
I'm honestly not sure why everyone is knocking Crime Lords. I have build a CL deck and it can OWN straight combat. It is really rather easy. It bounces attacks so well, and even if the attack goes through, the reinforcement keeps the damage down. They are lacking, but they don't qualify for being the worst. Now, if they got an answer for out-of-combat-stuns and burn, and maybe a bit of a lift in stats, then I put them into tier 1, no doubt.

I gotta go with F. Walnut. I've owned a CL deck and won a few hobby leagues with it when MMK1st came out. Everyone was on MK and I had CL. If they couldnt stun me back but I stunned them, I'd get to attack back for straight breakthru. Good Times.
But does Crime Lords have game against Titans? HiV? Stall? Combo? It is not even that good against the major straight combat decks(Curved Sentinel, Lost City, etc)
I have a RS/ Inhumans deck that works well but it is janky. The cute trick is to get Karnak his counter on 5. You can then Bizzaro Ray and ready. The new Assault and Battery card helps screw things over defense wise. I have actually taken out 3 characters with Bizzaro Ray on turn 6. At that point you can get a Lex Lock going.
WORST TEAM?
Let's discuss the beauty of the Infinity Watch. You've got Pan for a free piece of equipment, Gamora with the always popular Cosmic, Moondragon with abysmal defense, Drax who is only good if you lock your opponent from playing plot twists (a.k.a Secret Society) and Thanos.
You have a tutor that will let you get your 3-drop of higher. That's hot!
