I often make this anology because I don't want to see it happen. Non-team stamped cards and effects = a very limited metagame. This may (I said may) lead to cookie cutter decks. I got away from YGO because I couldn't stand how stale the game got after there were only about three different decks out there. I really like VS and I don't want to see this game degenerate in that way.
Addressing those that said LOS sucks...
I loved this set because it was one of the first to team stamp almost everything. This limits how many decks you see them in. This expands the meta game. This keeps the game fresh and original.
Addressing those how want the game to have about 3 dominate decks...
At one point a while back (Somewhere between MMK nad DGL), I noticed the game was dominated by Titans, Sentinals, Common enemy, etc. This made me less inclined to invest in the game because I found it very limited.
Then, I heard about Modern and Silver Age. The more innovative, the more I was interested. I look forward the coming Silver age.
Back to the original issue...
Do the sets come out too fast? IMO no. Just fast enough. Casual players like myself love novelty. I can only assume Pro-level players like to have more time in between sets to exploit as many flaws as possible. 3 months is a good compromise.
I have been steered way off course. I think 4 sets a year is just fine. I think 2007 is gonne be a really fun year as well. MTU, HellBoy, The PC/PSP/DS release, World's Finest, Marvel Legends, and DC Legends. Sounds like fun and action for all.
For some reason this always happen to me. Ill post something and make a mistake. Then Everyone that plays VS and some people who dont start to attack me. Sorry about the mistake, it was a mistake. But i do think it is a bit odd that 3 sets come out reight after each other kinda fast but WF is coming out sometime in June i think. Thats what someone said in the thread. that is like 3-4 months from now.
Based on the scheduled times for events ... the release dates seem to have been scheduled based on the PCs, such that a Sneak Peak would take place before a PC ... and a City Championship afterwards. This meant that the schedule was tweaked slightly. However, part of the issue is that looking at, for example, the date of the Sneak Peak vs. when the set is released vs. when the set becomes legal can cause some problems as there is often a month between a Sneak Peak and a set becomming legal, which meakes the time between sets appear to be less.

If you played at the MTU pre-release, you'd have seen that UDE has come up with a wonderful compromise. Generic pumps with team-stamped side effects.
UDE releases 4 sets a year. For all you math whizzes that means 1 set every 3 months. No I don't feel that this is too much because after 2 and a half onths drafting the same set week by week you just kinda get bored with it. Releasing 4 sets a year not only keeps the game interesting but it all kinda works out with the whole Marvel/DC thing. (2 sets Marvel and 2 DC.)
