ohhh so tdb secret deck is illuminati?! haha people are so techin against you now. lol j/k
back on topic.. i say crimelords/xxxxxx or sadly mkko. theyre just that good.
oh yea hulk will show up in huge number but all will fail, and if a hulk deck does in fact top 8 it is because so players were playing it or the player is a heck of a drafter,.
I have always thought Draft was more luck than Sealed.
You have that switched.

... and that's why.
I think if you play Draft more, you'll appreciate it. It's like building your deck on the fly. With Sealed you have what you open and that's it, in Draft you can steer your destiny a bit... unless someone hate drafts in front of you.
pathetic atempt
carrying the torch
have a blast
total anarchy
omnipotence
beyonder
secret identity
turn 4 doom mystic etc. reuse with bodyslide if necessary
turn 5 bodyslide doom play doom turn mystic play boris etc.
start of attack step another doom comes in rinse repeat.
or
Botherhood quickie abuse
turn 5 play quickie clash of worlds play lots of 0 cost quickie via that new search 'search for a character card that shares a name with a character you control.'
I'd play either but i'm not going stupid ude all tourneys in the states ....
grumble grumble.
I'd love to see a hybrid MKKO/Secret Avengers. The lower drop avengers are all dual affiliated with the marvel knights to enable quick kill and blade will clean up the hidden area. Thats my prediction
You know what, I will go with that Erick. I am a great Draft player but those d@mn people beside me are hate drafting:p. lol. But seriously I don't know, I just never really liked the idea of people being able to pick apart what I want to build in the middle of me building it was my thing. Guess that is honestly why I never liked Draft as I have done it like 5-6 times in my entire time of playing Vs(3 years). Anytime the Hobby League would have a draft I would skip it, but if they played Sealed I was all about it...Now that I think about it I don't think I have gone to an event(PCQ, HL, Release Celebration, Pre-Release), played Sealed, and not Top 4'd. On the other hand I have never even Top 8'd at an event where I Drafted.
Hmmmm, you know what? I think I will just have to say I suck at drafting and rock at Sealed for some reason. No if, and's, or but's, about it=p.
later,
Kj

I think that's one of the things I (and many others) love so much about draft is that it is such a fluid beast. Sometimes it doesn't matter what you do it bucks you off hard and other times you find the right rhythm and the ride is awesome. The better you are, the easier it is to spot the nuances that help you find the right rhythm. I'm not a very good draft player, but I can tell you if you're just looking to build your DECK when you're drafting, you're only doing about 25% of what you need to do to be successful at draft.
There is a reason good players always seem to "luck" into a really great draft deck.
If you're interested in becoming better at draft, there is actually a really good sealed based strategy that helps. Take the card pool of any given set and build a few Little Decks. Figure out which one or two are the best and try and see how well you can duplicate one during a draft. This exercise teaches you a lot about card synergies, what cards are most important to a deck (requiring you to draft them earlier) and which ones can be substituted with something else or left out altogether (allowing you to pick up multiple copies of your better cards). There is lots of other stuff to learn about draft, but having a game plan you are familiar with helps enormously and the less you have to concentrate on that, the more it frees you up to learn things about signaling and reading signals and forcing, etc.
Oh yeah, and I'm going to say MKO not because I have any sort of idea about what is good in the current metagame, but because it was a favorite of mine back in the day.
