You make mention of it in another thread, but the fact that obscure characters from both the Marvel/DC universe always finding a way to playing such a big part in the Meta of VS is only further proof of the functionality of the VS game engine.

The fact that time and time again the combination of the VS design team and the VS engine prove that vintage wine does indeed get better with time. Whatever license UDE picks up should realize bynow that their IP is going to be presented in the most efficient(read profitable) manner possible.

The Captain is/was one of the most splashable obscure characters to be played at Worlds...

The game of VS can't be very marketable if their most well known characters aren't in any good decks.

What I'm saying sir is that those involved with producing the game of VS have shown that no matter what the character, team or affiliation, we who play VS can expect quality on every level.

Nextwave is a small team that is definitely not high profile and yet one of its characters is very dynamic enabler for a number of combos found in various deck types throughout our game. They (VS desigh team ) know how to incorporate smaller obscure teams into the game of VS and yet still maintain the quality of the set. Now, when you combine that with the Legends formating: it makes for an easier inclusion of obscure plus marquee which IMO = a well balanced growth plan.
