I am officially taking back what I've said about how TK interacts with KC TA. I will, however, firmly stand behind my thoughts on carrying of figures and how it interacts with the KC TA.

Ok, so where do you stand on the issues....?
I'm too lazy to go back and re-read the whole thread....
I still stand that TK should cause KC TA to activate, however I think that they are going to faq it differant so my official stance will have to change (regardless if I disagree with it or not).
Excerpt from Knockback in indy rules: The target character is knocked back 1 square for each one damage taken. The attacker moves the target character away from the attacker along a straight line, even if that line is diagonal.
Think the knockback clause is because the attacker is moving the piece? Would make sense.
Can you change your mind after the roll if it doesn't change how far you already moved? For example: I move Thor toward Magog 3 squares. Before going B2B I roll KC. Roll a 2. Now, can I decide it's a running shot and shoot at him from 2 squares away? Is this like the Skrull TA ruling? Or the old plasticity, break away, running shot thing?

There's a simple solution to this particular situation. Just declare a Running Shot for the move. Since Thor is a flier, he can always use ranged attacks (aside from Stealthed attacks of course). If you make a successful KC roll, you get to attack with RS while adjacent. If you fail, you fire before you become adjacent.

That could hurt you if your target is in hindering, though..
Not if he's carrying a forklift. Might just want to base magog at first and swing later if you can, but if you miss the KC roll, take what you can get.

To answer your question: No, you can't change the action this particular way because RS is a power action and must be declared before you move.
