Yeah, I'm right there with you. I've always wanted to do an RPG, but never had enough geeky friends , plus I never liked the whole magick/fantasy stuff. Never thought my "maiden voyage" would be as the GM, though. I think we're all going through new territory. At least I hope so; people who are new like you will probably be more forgiving of a green GM like me.
I want to give Swaffo and Cam (if you want to) a little more time, but like I said with Spinebreaker, we don't need to start them all at the same time. I added it up, and the veteran versions of all those guys is only about 670 points. That's not that much, considering I'd plan to get into 1000 point battles at the apex of this campaign.
However, we are forgetting the rule where almost half your team need not have your team ability. Therefore, if you had all nine of those guys, you could have eight non-Titans if you wanted. That'll give you some room to grow.

I am considering adding someone who is non Titan faction, after i get everybody affiliated to at least E level, and get a few to the Vet level. I just have to think about who its going to be.

LOL. You're looking at the guy who consistently plays his lexcorp team... I know every single one of 'em's overpriced, and Luthor's essentially 69 points I give to the nearest opponent... I was trying to find some way to worm Black Manta into the Avengers.... (Easily my favourite character, and he's mocked by other people... it's a sad sad world.)

I don't think I'm being too risky... Hulk can be good if you time him right, and Quicksilver's a nice cheap/powerful combination that could work really well with your system...

I think Black Manta's gotta be pretty courageous, going out in public with that helmet.

Well, I think I've given them quite long enough. You can pick JLA or X-Men, and Swaffo or Cam, you've got two days.
I don't really want to get all stiff about this, but I'm not going to hold two of the premier teams of Heroclix in stasis forever. Let the man play!
