Just some feedback for the mod. It's pretty tough on the town when every mafia player is active and a strong player to boot, like we saw here. More often then not, in my experience, most mafias have some dead weight on them. While this generally works against them, this recruitment mechanic arguably eliminates that impediment. I'm not sure if that unbalances things or not, but I can see it as a justification for lower ratio of mafia members.
Also, knowing exactly how many mafia are left can be a real morale killer if town can't nail mafia soon enough like what happened here (since there's no SK or outside threat). It's probably true in the inverse that Mafia would have it's morale shaken if there was only 1-2 left, I suppose.
Maybe assigning a random townie to be an SK after requirements are done might help? It could balance things out more as it creates another threat for the mafia.

Also, I wasn't great all game long, but the day of the Magnito lynch I felt like I was really on my game.
Got the lynch started (partly got GFish to vote for him) and then threw a 1-2 punch with JoH that got Roy to jump on the train as well.
Great game.
I was pretty convinced that Mags was mafia.

Sorry, man.
Well, as JoH pointed out on the proboard, people don't listen to me even when I am right, lol. No worries dude, you have to play your game to win. I would have done the same in your shoes.

I think the most damaging thing to the town this game was Ens claiming he didn't know what his power did. Caused multiple days of confusion, allowed a easy mafia lynch on him, and no one even listed to him when he said he copped Mags as town. Set the town way behind, and after that claim, the town was on the back foot the rest of the game.

ERS's "confusion" on his power was a godsend to the Mafia - way to use that to your advantage!.
Yeah I am sorry guys i just wasn't sure if I was some sort of other cop and getting blocked on N1 didn't help. Then getting swarm voted on d2 while I was working sucked,

Generally speaking, alignment cop is the default cop. Any other type of cop is less-standard and would be specified.
Basically because cop is the only power in a lot of vanilla mafias. That we have other cops around here is mostly because we have all sorts of wacky powers flying around.

I'm still mystified by Grizz's (I think it was Grizz) masterful "century copping" during the Historical Characters mafia. The only bit of info I didn't cover with my fake claim
This was an incredibly fun game. I think I learned more about the way I play mafia, the way others think I play mafia, and the way I should play mafia than in any other game.
Congrats to my compadres. I had a blast!

My not being around for the first half of the game cost me. Made my voting record look terrible. I totally understand why I was lynched. In retrospect, knowing how little internet I had, I shouldn't have signed up. But the concept seemed so cool.
I will note, my shying from Gfish's quizzes had nothing to do with Mafia. Just like the comment I made in his "Make Yourself into a Mafia Role" sign-ups, I feel it's a slippery slope so I tend to avoid.
Which is funny as I used to enjoy trying to make RPG characters akin to me...

Definitely this. People were all "I'd draft colonialbob, he's a good player but new so under the radar" and I'm all "ahh I'm mafia what am I supposed to say? Everybody's on to me! I'm doooooooooomed......"
Congrats you dirty scummers! The Don should probably not have a safe claim IMO. It's not like he can't just borrow claims from his recruits.
This is a fair point. Being first game of its kind, I wanted to err on the side of caution, and I figured inventor was kind of a weak claim anyways.

Yeah. I do think a valid strategy in this kind of game could legitimately be pick as many big active players as you can, and watch the town fall apart due to them doing nothing. But I also hope everyone learned something from this game. A game is more fun if we get more players playing on a higher level, but it certainly takes experience to do so. We have seen a lot of players get much stronger over time, so hopefully the next game, we will all be better and that won't be as much a problem, yeah?
As far as telling the number of mafia, this is rather common in vanilla games, so much so that it I'd hard for me to think of a time it isn't done in vanilla. If anything, it should give town s powerful tool, being sure of things numbers wise. There were many times this game if people put some thought in, their actions probably would have been much different.
To give an example, on the final night, Roy JKd RP. Looking at the numbers, it should have been clear mafia had a lawyer, and RP was telling the truth about being a double voter. This meant the towns only real chance at winning was to JK who they thought the killer was, not use the JK as a doctor. Because not stopping a kill that night meant town was sunk for sure, looking at the numbers.
Another death knell for the town was when it was clearly going to be a race, linkor popped on, didn't give his vote to a clear townie, and said he would be away for over 8 hours. This gave the mafia plenty of time with no fear of being lynched as every townie was needed to get a lynch. Not paying attention to numbers cost the town dearly this game.
It may be a little disheartening, but it is a powerful tool, and one the town needed I feel. The Themeless nature of the game is a powerful mafia tool with how little we play vanilla here.
