So, I am only 2 weeks from teaching in a school with in-classroom instruction to about 120 different kids each day. Very excited to live in a district where every other house flies their trump flag high and proud, believes the party news apparatus, and worships the press secretary.

Keep waiting for an announcement that we are going to all online after all, but we're only a week away from Professional Development days, and no changes yet. ####ers are going to get me killed, I reckon. I'm not overly paranoid, nor ill-informed about the virus, but I figure there will be some sort of cosmic irony in dying from a virus I catch from some snot-nozed, sick middle school kid whose trump-flag flying dad gave it to him and sent him to school anyway. And I'll buy it after surviving rocket attacks, IEDS, stabbing, sky diving, a couple car crashes, a bad SCUBA incident, and a broken, crushed heart back in 2002.

I think I'll buy a new phone today.

We found out today that my 9th grader will be entirely virtual at least through this year.

The 3rd grader went from full time in school to Remote learning 3 days, in school 2. With half class M/T other R/F and all virtual on Wednesdays.


There goes my wife's new part time job.... I am not that worried about the older, but the younger one needs more attention.

I am completely virtual until January. Things will get reexamined November/December.

I am so relieved that my kids are adults, and don't have kids right now.

I didn't think you were old enough to have adult halflings. I thought you were closer to my age (early 30's).

That socks. It's mindboggling to me that there's such a push to put kids back into school at the height of a pandemic.

I'm timeless. People rarely guess my age.
