Rented and watched Safety Not Guaranteed last night. Solid and quirky movie, I enjoyed it thoroughly.
As for Looper, I really thought Gordon-Levitt did a knockout job in it but I agree that the end gets kind of well ... loopy

Netflix finally got me Bourne Legacy. Very solid movie for me up until the end, which I thought was less satisfying than the previous parts of the series.

It was several weeks ago, but the Wife and I went to go see Les Miserables. It was one of our "Experiment" movies where one of us knows a lot about the source material and the other one is the "Control Group."
When we went to go see the most recent Star Trek, she had NEVER seen any Star Trek anything before. She was the Control Group.
She had never read Watchmen. I had read it several times. She was the control group.
For Les Mis, though, it was MY TURN to be the control group. She had seen the stage show several times and had even been IN IT a time or two. I liked it quite a bit. As long as you don't mind 99% of the dialogue being sung instead of spoken, a cripplingly depressing story, and Russel Crowe forgetting the bucket that he was trying to carry a tune in, it was well worth my time. I'll man up and admit that I had some tears. There was some very emotional moments.

Saw Django Unchained. It was... well, Tarantino. If you like him, you'll like it. Felt like one of his movies.
SERIOUSLY, my honest reaction was "George Lucas should sue becasue this is the movie EPISODE II should have been".
Think about it
A BLACK BOUNTY HUNTER NAMED DJANGO
A case could be made that "The South" represents THE SEPARATIST MOVEMENT
The whole the mansion scene at the end is CLEARLY a blend of how EPISODE VI ended with Lando blowing up the Death Star Mark II, Luke dealing with Palpatine, and Han storming the shield generator.
Last movie I saw Warm Bodies and it's a DAMN GOOD MOVIE like Academy Award good with Rob Cordry giving one scene stealing moment after another. In a lot of ways I was remind of West Side Story only in stead of The Sharks & The Jets you've got "The Bonies", the undead who are still relatively human looking, and the left over Armed Forces fighting to save whats left of L.A.. Yeah, even other undead fear The Bonies because they know eventually that's what they will ulimately become over time without flesh to eat.

Wow. I never thought I'd say these words, but this makes me want to watch Episode VI again.
EDIT: Oh, wait. VI was from the first trilogy. I liked those ones, but I don't really remember those scenes very well, so I'll have to see that one again.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
Watched Amelie for the first time in years. Still as charming and lovely. Plan to watch Compliance tonight or tomorrow and I'll report back, but it looks promising.
