My role was odd. I was a cop who initially could only win with the Mafia. If I found one Mafia, I could win with the Town. If I found more, I could not win with the Mafia anymore. So my goal was to find as little Mafia as I could and keep quiet about it. I think I targeted Darq first.
Your role was a little different than that. You'll see in a bit.
And yes, Nightcrawler saved both Darq AND IR that night. What's funny is, if Wade hadn't used Yoshi on the last night, the mafia would have lost. zyxba misdirected vlad, and he ended up pushing Silver over Phoenix.
But then Yoshi succeeded and Vlad ignored the misdirection. The Game Dr3am3r is one of my favorite roles. It appears completely broken, but since it affects EVERYONE, it is actually balanced nicely. Night 1 he used the mass busdrive which ended up getting Sky killed by Thor... And when you see Thor's role, Darq... You're gonna hate me.
No. I had to make a decision to end the game or let it go into the day phase. Technically, there was a chance zyxba could have pulled off a win. However, it would have required Darq eating a brain tumor and no one voting him off.
In other words, if Darq didn't go untargetable, zyxba could have CMDed his hit into someone else. But I figured you guys would just vote him off. I still felt that the day should play out, and Mags confirmed that's what he would do. So I went with the day phase.
Vorlon saved the town. He used his mass role-block and succeeded in blocking the Mafia's mass roleblock. Unfortunately, you were a casualty.
Wait...*brain hurts*...I guess I will wait for roles...but it seems a mass RB would mean that everyone was RBed...so how did anyone get a chance to kill me...*waits impatiently for roles*
Get_1 on the subject of knowing someone's affiliation in a mafia game:
"Only one way to know for sure!
Lynchy lynch lynch LYNCH!"
Wait...*brain hurts*...I guess I will wait for roles...but it seems a mass RB would mean that everyone was RBed...so how did anyone get a chance to kill me...*waits impatiently for roles*
Yeah, so I have to say, when my Mass RB failed, I was pretty sure we were sunk. Our 2 most senior members were outed, we'd Janitored our own badass on night 1 and I was certain we were going to get pounded.
Then of all the sillyness, me, the one guy who hadn't been outed as Mafia got killed by either a random MD or a busdrive.
I was like oh man, we're done. And then, of all things Darq is able to continue to convince people he's not Red even though he was name copped 2x in the game.
Vorlon20 as Crystal Snail (Megaman X Chronicles: The Sigma Virus - Town) – Hailing from the Energen Crystal Mines, you are the most mysterious of all of the Maverick Hunters. No one really knows where you came from, and no one is certain which side you are on. Some think you are working with Sigma. Others believe you are on the side of the Maverick Hunters since you have been granting them safe passage through your crystal caverns. Ultimately, you enjoy your free will, so the virus (or working for Sigma for that matter) does not appeal to you. Though your motives may be slow to reveal, you are fighting for the greater good. But you never were able to defeat Sigma, and now here you appear in a different world altogether. Where are you, and who do you fight for?
Crystal Hunter: Your primary weapon is a ball of liquid crystal that hardens almost immediately on contact, trapping your target within a crystal shell. Each night, you may PM the moderator the name of a player. You will trap that player in crystal, preventing them from completing their action for the night. Additionally, you will also protect them from any damage. Hidden: This power has a chance to be a role-block nexus maker, a jail-keep, or just a simple doctoring.
Crystal Warp: Once per game, during the night phase, you may PM the moderator stating you wish to activate your Crystal Warp. You slow down reality all around you, making everyone move at the same speed. Possibly unable to adjust to the change of pace, everyone who takes an action for the night will have a 50% chance to fail.
You win when no threats to the Town remain.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
The result of his action would be randomly determined each night, like the night that Rokk was turned into a RB Nexus. Since the town lacked an official doctor, I wanted to make sure that Vorlon wasn't entirely detrimental in his actions. If the Grandmaster actually ended up getting Vorlon for the night, his action would be whatever benefited the town instead of being randomly determined. Also, he was allowed to attempt a trump on the mafia's mass role-block only to balance out the power of the mafia. Since he only had a 50% chance to succeed, I didn't expect it to actually happen.
malakim2099 as Evil-Lyn (He-Man: Battle for Eternia - Town) - The second in command and easilythe most competent of all of Skeletor's minions, you carry respect and radiate fear among the lesser members of Snake Mountain. You tend to be in charge while Skeletor is away, and should anyone not listen to you, your vast array of spells will quickly put them in place. It is unclear why you remain working with Skeletor. You often aid other villains in their endeavors. You even stand in defiance of Skeletor. He likely does not take offense to this because you are the most powerful of all of his warriors. Maybe some day you will be able to obtain Skeletor's powers and then just be rid of him. But until then, you find yourself trapped in a new world. Where are you now? You would love the chance to take of Eternia, but you have to get back first. However, the villains that remain here want to do away with you. They’re already having a hard enough time sharing their power. There’s no room for you. Well, you know how to handle yourself on your own and have no qualms with messing up their plans.
As a master of sorcery, you have a variety of spells that you may cast at night. Choose a spell or magical item and a player, and that player will be affected by your magic during the night.
Darkness (Misdirection) - You obfuscate your target's view for the night, causing them to lose direction.
Diamond Ray (Jail-Keep/Silence) - The diamond ray of disappearance shunted people out of the plane of Eternia. They only returned when He-man destroyed the diamond. This item will send your target far away. The following night, the diamond will be destroyed, and the player will return to the game.
Shaping Staff (Role-Block) - The power of this staff allows you to transform anyone into whatever you desire. When you use this, choose whatever you wish for the player to transform into, and that player will appear in the write-up as that.
Possession (Controlled Misdirect) - You implant your will over your target and force them to do your bidding for the night. You get to choose who your target targets.
Spellstone (Doube-Vote/Doubler) - This artifact increases the arcane power of a person to immeasurable levels. When using this, your target gains a double vote for the following day OR will be doubled for the following night. The target will receive a message saying that that they can do one or the other.
Erase (Vote Removal) - This spell depowers a player for a short time, preventing their vote from being counted for the next day phase.
Mirror of Moruvad (Cop) - The mirror creates an opposite copy of the target. If the player is evil, it will make a good duplicate. If the player if good, it will make an evil duplicate. You will know if it creates an evil or good copy of your target.
Scrying Portal (Track/Reverse Track) - You can watch over your target at night, either learning who they targeted or who targeted them.
Shrink (Guide) - Though used more as capturing spell, you can actually use it to make your target small enough that they cannot be hindered by others's misdirection and blocking.
You win when no threats to the Town remain.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Nothing changed here, really. It was a good role to start with, of course he wouldn't kill Kothos since Kothos wasn't in the game. Also, on Night 4, Mal ended up getting the Skein power from Thunderbolts mafia. It revealed Darq as Red (the second time he was revealed as Red). Mal was also killed at the same time. Part of the ignoring of Darq was the fact that few people bothered to read the write-up since it was in binary.
Rokk_Krinn as Locke Cole, the “Treasure Hunter” (Final Fantasy VI: Vienne l’apocalisse - Town) – A thief (though not the preferred choice of word) and somewhat a ladies man, you actually carry a certain code of honor uncommon to those in your line of work. Once upon a time you were in love with a girl named Rachel. On a fateful day, she tried to save your life, almost ending her own in the process. As she lost her memory, she also lost her feelings of love for you. You were turned out of the village. This led you to start protecting all women. You never forgave yourself for what happened to Rachel, and your guilt only grew worse when her village was attacked and she was killed along with many other villagers. Now you are seeking a way to redeem yourself and hopefully bring Rachel back to life (though Phoenix Downs seem to have no effect since she isn’t a playable character. Funny, yes?). But something is different. You’re in a different world, and it’s not the world that Kefka created after becoming the God of Magic. Maybe this place has something that can help you bring Rachel back… more importantly because you somehow misplaced the Phoenix Magicite you were once carrying.
“I’m a Treasure Hunter!!!” – Sure, your profession makes you look less than honorable, but that’s just the spin that others are putting on it. You’re all heart and merely seek out the treasures of the world… even if they belong to someone else. Each night, you may PM the moderator the name of a player and steal one of the following: their power for the following day/night, their results PM, or their vote. You cannot steal the same type of action twice in a row, though you do not have to use all three before cycling back through. You cannot use the powers that you steal, and one player in particular will still be able to take an action even if you successfully target them.
You win when no threats to the Town remain.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Rokk lost the Phoenix Esper, but he actually had a chance to obtain it again if he managed to help eliminate the Grandmaster. Unfortunately, the Grandmaster never left the game, and Rokk died fairly early on. I was worried about the esper initially because of the roles I would be killing off. I had a thought that if he did end up with it, Rokk would use the esper to bring back one of the players who died that wasn't playing at all.
EragonFan as Wheel Gator (Megaman X Chronicles: The Sigma Virus - Town) – A member of the 6th naval unit alongside Bubble Crab, you fought as much for the Maverick Hunters as you did with your companions. Though you were deemed a traitor and expelled from the force, you have returned. Hoping to prove your innocence and that your loss of temper was a mere misjudgment, you are back fighting alongside the Maverick Hunters to stop Sigma from spreading his virus. At least you were until just now. You’ve appeared someplace bizarre, and you don’t seem to be among friends, either. It’s hard to trust those around you, but the mysterious being who transported you here was kind enough to bring along your tank.
Spin Wheel: Take your friends (or enemies) for a ride on your bladed wheel. This will give people a spin in the wrong or right direction, depending on how you look at it. Each night, you may PM the moderator the name of 2 players and swap their positions with each other.
Dino-Tank: The tank is massive, it’s slow, and it needs a lot of fuel to keep operating. But when you use it, it works rather well. Instead of using Spin Wheel, you may choose to use the Dino-Tank. Instead of choosing 2 targets, you will be able to choose 4 targets. You cannot create an infinite loop using this power. However, once you use this, you run out of fuel and have no resources to drawn upon again. It is a one-time use.
You win when no threats to the Town remain.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
I should have removed the dino-tank, or at the very least taken it out. It caused problems in the first game, and Eragon and I had a lengthy discussion about what he could do with it. I thought if I turned it into a one-shot it would balance it out. What was really fun was the Night 1 mass busdrive from Wade. That was fun figuring out what the hell happened to everyone.
Sigdr as the Timber Wolves (Magic: The Gathering Unlimited - Town) – As a group of hunting canines, your pack knows their way around the twisting forests of Dominaria. You can sniff out prey even when you leave the beaten path. Also, because you are a group, you know how to get along with others. This is also reflected in your banding ability. Each night, instead of casting a spell, you may choose to guide, bodyguard, reverse track or track another player. One thing to keep in mind... You’re not in Dominaria anymore. The magic that once powered your pack cannot be tapped into now, but you managed to hang on to a few spells nevertheless. During the night, instead of using your regular ability, can you choose to cast one of the following spells. However, whether you succeed or not, once cast, the spell is lost forever. You have the following spells:
Instill Energy: A brisk surge of energy courses through the wizard’s veins giving him vigor and strength. When cast, the target player will become a double voter for the following day phase.
Camouflage: This spell creates a shroud over the creatures, preventing them from being seen. The creatures lie in waiting for the perfect opportunity to attack, their target being unaware that anyone is even there. When cast, target player cannot be the target of other spells and effects unless that spell or effect is a kill attempt.
Berserk: Rampaging, insanity, adrenaline… This instant greater increases the power of the person it is cast upon. However, it also creates a bloodlust within that person. When this spell is cast, choose a target player. Target player will kill whichever player he is targeting for the night. If target player targets no one, this spell has no effect.
Fog: The air becomes thick and heavy, difficult to move around in. People who travel within the realm of fog tend to become lost. When this spell is cast, all players will either be misdirected or blocked. In addition, a lynch vote cannot be achieved the following day.
You win when no threats to the Town remain.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
I was disappointed Sigdr died so early on. I wanted to see some of these spells take place. I obviously couldn't give him all of the spells, but I picked the ones that would make for some interesting nights.
Zyxba and Charles Barkley as Xalaez Ybraschl (??? – Town) – Uh… This is a definite oops. Something went wrong in the transference of you from the original game to the new location. It was already difficult to move an amalgam to this new world. Unfortunately, it warped you even further into a form that no one can even recognize at this point. You’re very lost in this world and only wish to be restored back to normal. The problem is, you’re too disfigured for anyone to trust or even care about.
Doa Tren Loo– People don’t look up to you, and you want it to be that way. Unfortunately, this has made a little on the controversial side of things (and just a little hated). You require 2 less votes on majority to be lynched. Granted, none of the people here know who you are. They’re just terrified of your gross appearance. They’ll be quick to judge and get rid of you.
Ran Polos Fescle Pu – They’re also slick floors. Okay, it has nothing to do with floors. People see your mangled face and run away in order to avoid you. Each night, you may PM the moderator the name of a player and misdirect them for the night. Alternatively, you may position yourself perfectly to where the player runs into another player of your choosing, though you cannot do the same style of action two nights in a row. So for one night you will misdirect, and the other you get to be a controlled misdirector.
Boggle – Because you are completely messed up in every way, your posts must be jumbled. Words and letters must be swapped around in some fashion, though the choice is yours how you do this. Adhere to this restriction, and each night, you will protect yourself from night kills. Hidden: Xalaez is not immune to night kills and is merely meant as an incentive to follow through with the post restriction, but as long as the post restriction is followed, upon night death, the character will return as Charles Zyxbly the following day without the restriction.
You win when no threats to the Town remain.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
The ONLY role that was new to the game, I thought it would be funny to change him about since he wasn't going to fit in with the mafia theme. I wanted something story-driven that explained why Skeremy wouldn't have him as part of his crew. I threw in the post restriction for laughs, and I never expected zyxba to make it so difficult to understand. That was his own doing. He ended up getting the Chaos Dunk from the Grandmaster, and it was meant to be use on the Grandmaster. The same night he received it, he was told Grandmaster was in the game. He never even mentioned it in the thread though, and he used the Chaos Dunk on sp.
eternalrage as Secret Invasion Nick Fury (Your Favorite Clix - Town) – You are the fearless leader of S.H.I.E.L.D. and you take crap from no one. You have a crew manning the helicarrier, ready to follow your any order. Given that you are a highly known public figure, it makes it easier for the invaders to know who you are, and your prominence will likely make you a target. Fortunately, you’re no stranger to danger and you have taken the extra precautions to keep yourself safe while you work your way through the invaders. But now you are the invader. At least, you think you are. This is a new world to you, and you are going to have to put forth all of your skills to figure everything out. You’re Nick Fury, and you’re not going to take crap from anyone. Thankfully, you still have your life model decoy with you to help you out of a tough situation.
L.M.D. – You have an extra life. It’s doing the work for you to start. If you are killed for any reason, your life model decoy dies instead of you. You lose this power after it is used.
Spymaster – You’re skilled at getting information without getting caught. Each night, you may PM the moderator the name of a player and choose one of the following: Track your target, Cop your target, Reverse Track your target. After you use one ability you must use the other two before you can use the same one again.
You win when no threats to the Town remain.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
One of my favorite roles from Your Favorite Clix, he was the town tracker, reverse tracker, and cop all in one. Unfortunately, he was the town's only cop (aside from one-shots). This was part of the decision to leave Link's hookshot as is. What was really unfortunate is Phoenix used TWO bombs to take rage out. I kept shaking my head especially since Apocalypse and Red had already been outed.
FurbyFrank as Violet (Color - Town) – Shy violet, shrinking violet, Violet Beauregard… Royalty runs in your family, and you would prefer to have a quiet rule. One would think you are the ideal color because you are created in terms of balance. Red, the hot-headed color combines with blue, the cool and calm color. This makes you level-headed and good with judgment. Here’s where the problem comes into play, though. While your rule is fair and just, others don’t think it’s fair that you get to be king merely because you’re purple. There should be some sort of voting system in play. Oh wait… there is! It’s called a lynch vote, and they may want to take you out to have the crown for themselves.
Royal Decree – You give the orders, and what you say goes. Things only happen when you want them to happen. Each night, you may PM the moderator the name of a player. You will command that they not take action for the night, role-blocking them.
King Maker – You’re the king of these realms… at least until you are assassinated. Once per game, if you are killed, you may make one post during the day phase in all bold. You will decree a new king, and that person will have majority vote for the day. When this occurs, the current lynch tally will be reset, and the player you select will be notified that they have been made king.
You win when no threats to the Town remain.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
I couldn't believe Furby just let himself get lynched. HE was more useful to the town alive. And for the second time in a row, zyxba gets a Kingmaker power and still manages to fail in killing mafia with it.
PhoenixFire as Link (The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Town) - You are the hero of light, the possessor of the three pendants, and the commander of the master sword! You are Hyrule’s grand protector, and thanks to the telepathic ramblings of a princess, you are off on your quest to save the world from the evil forces of Ganon… At least you thought that was the case. Something’s happened now. You’re not in Hyrule anymore. In fact, you’re not sure where you are, and you have been to many different places in your mythos. No matter where you are and no matter what the threat, you are the hero and possessor of the triforce of courage. You will rise above the evil and bring light back to this once-peaceful (you assume) world. Again… You have quite the arsenal to help you out this time, though you can no longer find the additional items since those people aren’t present here. Each night, you may PM the moderator with an item to perform your action. The following are items you may choose from. If the item says to choose a player, be sure to include a player name with your PM. If the item has a number in parenthesis, you are limited to using that item to the number indicated. You cannot use the same item two nights in a row.
- Golden Master Sword: You can choose a player and attack him or her during the night phase. You will kill your target with your magic attack. However, you lose this ability to first time you are targeted by any other player.
- Bomb (4): You can choose a player and attack him or her during the following day phase. You have a 50% chance of killing the player.
- Boomerang: You can choose a player and stun (role-block) him or during the night phase.
- Hookshot: You can choose a player and stun him or her (NOT a role-block). You will be drawn to that person and learn their role. You have a 50% chance of your target targeting you instead of their intended target when you use this weapon.
- Empty Bottle: You may capture a vote to be used at a later time. You may only place your own vote in a bottle by giving up your vote for the following day.
- Pendant of Courage (1): Nothing can stop you when you wear this. You are fearless. When you use this, you may choose an additional action. The second action cannot be blocked.
- Pendant of Wisdom (1): You have the knowledge to get where you need to be. When you use this, you may choose an additional action. The second action cannot be misdirected.
- Pendant of Power (1): You feel strength when you wear this pendant. When you use this, you may choose two other abilities to use for the night.
You win when all threats to the town are gone.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Obviously, the hidden items had to be removed. He couldn't target those who weren't in the game. After I sent out the role, Phoenix started using actions that had me scratching my head. Twice I read over the role and realized just how poorly worded everything was. I finally clarified the Golden Master Sword, that he had in until someone targeted him while using it. His kill would still go off, but then he would lose the power. The one time before killing Apocalypse that he used it, no one targeted him (but he targeted zyxba who was jailkept).
Silver Lantern as Web of Spiderman Deadpool (Your Favorite Clix - ???) – The famous merc with a mouth, your popularity has soared. You know you are loved and famous. It’s the attention you crave. You break the fourth wall. You annoy the crap out of people. You are everywhere, no matter how much it doesn’t make sense. And worst of all, you just won’t go away… which is one of the reasons why you’re back and better than ever completely the same.
This is MY Story. You’re Just a Guest. – Because of your need for attention, you will seek out people to harass each night. During the night phase you may PM the moderator the name of a player and drag them into the write-up. Of course, since you’re such a team player (yeah, right) and you’re a gunman for hire, you don’t really belong to anyone. The first person you drag will determine your alignment for the remainder of the game.
Ridiculous Regeneration – You have a wacky healing factor that keeps you alive. It even brings you back from the dead. If you are killed, you have a 25% chance of coming back to life during the night phase. Your alignment will reset when this happens.
You win with whatever faction you become aligned with.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Of course, Silver revealed who he was so early on. I knew on Day 1 that the mafia would either magnet him or push someone in front of Quebbster. What's hilarious is that despite the mass busdrive, he still ended up targeting Sky thanks to messed up misdirections. I figured the death drag wouldn't be a big deal since the mafia couldn't use the claim anyway.
Neutral:
Immortal_Raven as Storm (GSX - Neutral) You grew up as an orphan in Africa and have risen to prominence in the ranks of the X-Men, Morlocks, and even the Hellfire Club. Immensely powerful, you control any and all aspects of the weather. However, in your darker past, you were possessed by a powerful being known as the Shadow King. Freed by Charles Xavier, you grew up under his tutelage and learned to tightly control your emotions. When your emotional control was stripped away and you turned into the “weather witch”, the Shadow King, banished to the astral plane, seized his chance to strike. With your power unleashed, you blurred the lines of reality enough for him to escape and possess you again. You were definitely a favored target because of this, and you have been brought to the new realm to wreak your powers upon an unsuspecting group, people who do not know you even exist.
You have the following powers to make your kills with:
-Lightning(janitored kill)-you obliterate the enemy with lightning bolts, leaving no trace of their body.
-Blizzard(Unroleblockable hit)-ever try to stop a blizzard? Yeah, no one can. Hence, you will use ice and cold to kill your target. you may still be misdirected.
-Swirling winds(Untrackable hit)-winds are hard to track. anyone trying to track you or RT your target will not see you.
You must use all three options before they reset. Until you are killed, you have a town cloak due to being regular mutant. The first time you are killed, the players will see in the game that Storm has died... Well, they would, except only two people here would even know who you are. Your death will be revealed a “Someone Died.” If the players who know who Storm is are still alive when you die, they will be given the option to give up a night action to identify your body. After your first death, you become the Shadow King, spirit entity. Immune to Nightkills of a physical nature and may choose one of the following for your kills (unblockable, unMDable, untrackable, undoctorable). These do not reset and each one may be used as often as needed.
You win when no one can defeat you.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
I don't think IR expected me to change it, and if not for Deadpool and Magus, I likely would have let him keep the Shadow King win condition. But being that the mafia was so strong already and had so many likely joiners, I needed to make a nearly broken role a little more balanced without offset an almost broken mafia. He played a great game, though.
Wade Wilson as Gamedr3am3r (HCRealms/Video Game Mash Up: The SNES - Neutral) – The debug mode of video games is one of the ways that programmers use to test the programming, making sure there are no errors in the games. Some parts of the code can be turned off for troubleshooting purposes. A nice little company came up with a device that, through the use of system codes, can alter the games and how they are meant to be played. The Game Genie breathed life into old games, adding a new challenge or creating a heightened level of fun. As the one player to submit the most request options, I thought it only appropriate to give you the device that could interact with all of the games on the system. Through the peripheral cartridge, you are able to alter the game in ways it was never meant to be played. This is also known as cheating. Funny thing that you were chosen. You exist to make the game much more challenging or easy, depending on the code used. There’s really only room for one game-changer, so the fact that you made the cut is perplexing indeed. Because of your altering nature, you’re accustomed to the new world you are in, and nothing has changed for you.
Game Codes – The Game Genie relied on codes being entered, each specific to the game being played. That does not change for you here. You have a list of codes based on various games (from your submissions so you actually get the feel of some of your choices). The codes will change the day or night phases accordingly. Each night, you may PM the moderator the code you wish to use, and the code effects will take place that night or following day phase as applicable. The code will appear at the beginning of each write-up. You may only use each code once, and if you are role-blocked, you still lose the code.
Green Arrow (Justice League Task Force) – A man with arrows, he can stop the more mundane people from taking action. The same applies here. You can stop people in their tracks. This enacts a mass role-block that has a 50% chance of role-block every player.
Bill Clinton (NBA Jam Tournament Edition) – It’s a hidden character! To reveal him as an option in the game, he needs to be unlocked first. You make it easy to unlock hidden characters. When you use this code, each character in the game will appear in the night write-up, even if they aren’t taking an action.
E. Honda (Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo) – A slow, slow man on a fast version of the game he is from. But hey, he’s the master of the 100 hand slap. Another thing to consider, there are lightning codes for some games that speed them up. When you use this code, everyone will be doubled for the night.
Dahlsim (Super Street Fighter 2) – Yoga fire! Yoga fire! Yoga flame! Dhalsim is slower than Honda if you can believe it. However, Dhalsim has the added bonus of reach and teleportation. Using this, each player is swapped out with another player, starting from the top of the player list and working down until each player is swapped out.
Megaman X (Megaman X) – A robot is programmed with bits of code. Megaman X, even though a more advanced robot, is also programmed with bits of code. As such, you break everything down into basic programming language. Binary code will fill the screen and flood into everyone’s results PMs.
Zero (Megaman X2) – Zero is a skilled maverick, able to make it out and about easily enough. He’s a skilled tracker with all of his computer equipment, too. Using this, each player will track their target for the night. Trackers will gain a reverse track ability, and reverse trackers will gain a tracking ability.
The Sprite (Secret of Mana) – Behold the power of the sprite! Using the forces of mana, this little guy can cast powerful spells. One of the most fun spells was Change Form, which would transform the target into some random creature. Using this, everyone suddenly requires a 1/3 lynch majority instead of the usual 1/2 majority. This effect ends at the start of the next night.
Scorpion (Mortal Kombat) – The gore and violence made this game stand out. One of the most memorable aspects were the finishing moves. The game made it appear that when someone was defeated, that person died. No exceptions. When you use this code, if a character is targeted for a kill, they die and are out of the game. All life-saving powers are ignored (this includes bulletproof and extra lives).
Yoshi (Super Mario World) – The cute dinosaur made his debut in this game. He adds a unique touch and assistance to Mario and Luigi. When you use this code, each player has a 50% chance of being guided. Imagine the broken game that will occur when you guide a roleblock into a guided character.
Nightcrawler (Wolverine: Adamantium Rage) – Congratulations for picking a character who only appears as a password icon. Perhaps it makes sense to be so hidden. After all, Nightcrawler easily hides in the shadows. As darkness falls, you make everyone blend into their surroundings. Each player has a 25% chance to avoid being targeted during the night phase.
Cheat System (Not a code) – You are allowed to cheat in the game once per day phase. This means you can edit a post, post a PM from me, or something along those lines. You can even post your role if you choose. You will not be modkilled for this. If someone points out your error, you may laugh at them. You cannot post if you are dead, however. Dead games don’t function.
You win with either side.

I just... I just love this role so much!
Quebbster as Magus (Chrono Trigger - Neutral) – Born as Janus, the son of Queen Zeal, you are highly gifted in the art of magic. In fact, you’re one of the, if not the, most powerful mages on the planet. Your normal time is 12,000 BC, the Dark Ages, but you also reside in 600 AD (The Middle Ages). In the Middle Ages, you were taken in by Ozzie and forced to do his bidding. Years later, you would prove yourself more powerful than Ozzie and take command of him and his lackeys. You don’t care about them at all, however. You want to go back in time and save your sister Schala and defeat Lavos once and for all. This will require careful planning and manipulation of two forces. You are playing the part of a Mystic for Ozzie, Flea, and Slash. You are playing the role of The Profit for Queen Zeal, Schala, and Dalton.
But wait… Something’s wrong. Lavos doesn’t exist in this world. You can’t summon him here because he never arrived. Now you’re not sure what to do. How can you save Schala if you’re not even in the same world she’s in? This won’t do, and you need to find a way back, and there’s no need for your charades from before. The problem is that the person who brought you here wants you to play his game first. Well, you’re not one for sticking with the rules, and you’re going to do things your own way.
Investigate the World – You have to figure out your surroundings and find a way to get home. You’re not on anyone’s side here, as is standard for you, but you do understand the merits of working together. You can blame Crono for that one. Each night, you must investigate a player and find out their motives. You will learn their alignment.
Friend to No One – Who can you trust here? The answer is no one really. Because you form shaky alliances at best, you are neutral with a tendency towards helping only yourself. If you fail to cop a single mafia member, you win with the Mafia if you are alive at the end of the game. If you cop a certain number of mafia, you win with the town if you are alive at the end of the game. Just remember, depending on your actions, you may find friends in the most unlikely of places. Hidden – For each mafia member that Magus outs, he gains +1 to vote majority and 15% cumulative night-kill protection. For each mafia member that Magus finds but doesn’t out, he avoids a hit from the mafia. He has to cop 3 mafia, or 2 mafia and a neutral in order to be able to win with the town.

The most altered role, I obviously couldn't let it be the same. If he ended up on the Mafia, they would have assumed he was a traitor. I gave him a role that could go either way. He HAD to take an action each night, and he wasn't allowed to target the same person twice. He ended up picking Darq night 1, but the bus drive ended up getting him killed by Storm.
The Mafia!

Obviously, I went with dons as the theme. I wanted to select the most powerful of all the dons in my game (sorry SP!). Overall, none of the dons were willing to be the underling of the other dons, and the role write-ups reflect that. I almost included a mechanic that would cause them to fail if they tried to target each other, but I thought a near-traitor would be a better idea in the end. They were over-powered and tough to defeat since they all had some sort of protection.
DarqFeonix as Red (Color Mafia – The Dons) – You are the bad boy, the hot rod, the aggressive fire of rage! You’re the hottest one around, and you know it. You want to make sure everyone else knows it, too. Yeah, you know that Yellow and Blue also lend a hand in creating the other colors, but they’re not as popular as you. You remember the good old days in high school… Captain of the football team, prom king, class president… But what happened? It seems like there’s so many more colors around now, and no one really looks at you with the same adoration. Cops actively look for you on cars. You get attributed to angry people. You’re the blood on a murderer’s hand! It isn’t fair! You want to relive your glory days, but with all of these other colors around getting the good credit and imposing the bad credit on to you, it’s been a difficult role. So here you are… wait… Where’s the other two Primaries? This isn’t your team. So not cool, dude. Oh well. You’re just going to have to make do with the team you were given. You’re the mafia don here, but something tells me that your underlings are going to argue this fact with you. Very little has changed for you, but experience would be pointless if it didn’t make you stronger.
Red Head – No, not in the step-child sense. You’re the head of the colors. You’re going to make sure that blood runs, and this time, it will be all the colors of the rainbow. Each night, you may assign a hit to yourself or another mafia member.
Marooned – It’s not your true color, but it a shade of you. Of course, this also means that you’re marooning yourself from others, giving the impression you’re a lonely duck (which is totally the opposite of the Red everyone knows). Each night, you may choose one (and only one) of the following: 1) You require 2/3 majority to be lynched. 2) Your alignment will cop as town. 3). You cannot be targeted during the night. You may choose one of these each night, but you cannot use the same one two nights in a row. Seems like you’re a little more effective in this world.
You win when no threats to the Dons remain.

I actually made him stronger, in part because Darq had just played as him and also because I wanted him to be a little more useful to the mafia as a whole. He should have been lynched on day 3. Still can't believe that didn't happen.
SkyKushRyd as SkeremyKushnick (HCRealms/Video Game Mash-Up: The SNES – The Dons) – With blades of steel, you glided into the SNES Mash-Up world. Upon your arrival, you did a little dance in all your pixilated glory. Much to your dismay, no one seemed to care. You were once a thing of beauty. Everyone awed at your excellence. But something was missing… Where was the logo, the team recognition? Somehow, it was missing from your game, and as such, you were not held in as high regard. Well, now that you have been given new life, you look to finally shine in the video game world. You’ll take out all of those game icons and make your team the greatest in all the world. But… What happened in the recruitment process? None of these people are hockey players. Heck, one of them isn’t even a sports player. Still, a team is a team, and some of these guys are the best in the business. Together, you hope to lead your team to victory, showing the platformers and action/adventurers what-for. You’re going to take them out and be the top man on campus… except you’re not from a college league… But suddenly, you were drafted! Who is this mysterious being who is recruiting you? And why does he want you to play by his rules? This is definitely a mystery, and you’re not so sure of your team since you didn’t get to pick them this time, but nonetheless, they’re your teammates, and you’re their team captain (or so you think). Your role is pretty much the same. Nothing about this world has caused a difference for you. You’re still the best at everything.
Iconic Hockey Player – In your main game, you can do anything, and that’s what has made you who you are today! In fact, you’ve made top ten lists for your video game appearance. Anyway, enough about how awesome you are and back to the “Do Anything” aspect of your video game persona. Each night, you may choose the applicable targets to perform one of the following actions on:
Cop (Power, Role, or Alignment), Doctor/Doctor Prevention, Track, Reverse Track, Misdirect, Push, Drag, Ghost Write, Role-Block, Bulletproof, Guide, Jailkeep, magnet, or Silencer. Now, you are free to use the same power night after night, but game glitches can run rampant. Each subsequent use of a power after the first has a 33% cumulative chance of failure (to a maximum of 99%).
Fast On Ice – When people put the big chill on you, you speed up. Because you’re so skilled at skating on thin ice, it takes 2/3 majority to lynch you. If Red is using the 2/3 lynch immunity, this power is not in effect. After all, there can be only one Don.
You win when no threats to your mafia remain.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
The most broken role that I ever created, I had to include him for fun. It was a severe blow to the mafia to lose him on Night 1. Funny thing, really. Sky never checked in on either the proboard or game thread.
ThorKnigh83 as Benjamin (Final Fantasy Mystic Quest Mafia - The Dons) – You are the hero of legend and the possessor of the Light Crystal. You fought valiantly alongside your friends and defeated the Dark King once before. Now you must defeat his minions yet again. Fortunately, you have the crystals and your allies to help you in your battles… or you did. You’re actually not on your homeworld any longer. You’re not sure where you are, but the Light Crystal isn’t with you now. You’re out of sorts, but you get all of your weapons, spells, and some of your items! Each night, if you don’t assign yourself the hit, you may choose to use an item. Items will repopulate after you use them all.
Cure Potion – Cure Potions will prevent you from being killed for one complete phase cycle. You can use this on yourself or another player at any time.
Refresher – Refreshers revitalize your character allowing your vote to count as two votes. You can use this on yourself or another player at any time.
Seeds – Seeds replenish your special abilities, allowing you to double your target’s vote for the following phase. You can use this on yourself or another player at any time.
Each night, you must assign someone to make a hit (argue with your buddies over who is the don). Choose one of your mafia members to make the hit. Additionally, you must specify how the hit will be made: either through magic or normal weapons. You may choose to make your night hits with either a weapon or a spell. The method you choose will determine the appearance of the hit in the write-up. Hidden: Benjamin is a hero and very reluctant to work with the other dons. Because of this, any “Hero” character that he is assigned to kill will survive his hit. These roles are Crystal Snail, Locke Cole, Nick Fury, Violet, Wheel Gator, Link, and Xalaez/Charles.
Weapons – You may choose to use your sword Excalibur, the Giant’s Axe, the Dragon’s Claw, or the Mega Grenade.
Spells – You may choose to cast Thunder, White, Meteor, Flare, Quake, Fire, Blizzard, or Aero.
You win when no threats to The Dons remain.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
Since he couldn't have the Light Crystal (good thing, too... talk about bad ideas), I gave him the items from the game. The one time they didn't use him to make the hit, they had him gain a double vote... and he died.
spworldtour as King K. Rool (Kremling Krew - The Dons) – You are the notorious King of the Kremlings. You’ve made your way to DK Island in the hopes to steal all of the bananas for yourself. DK’s not willing to let them go without a fight, however. He has all of his friends around to help stop you. But you have your allies and your weapons… like your kannonballs and your krown and your avoidance of the letter “c” for appropriate spelling! But spelling may not matter here. You’re in a strange new world, and there’s no island for you to conquer and no banana horde to be stolen. What are you going to do? Well, you’re used to having underlings, so that’s the first order of business. Unfortunately, the only people here with the same mindset as you may not be as willing to work for you as you would hope.
Casting Crowns - Each night, you must choose one of your krew to boot a player from the world. If you are not assigned to make the boot, you may PM the moderator a target. If you are killed during the night or lynched the next day, there is a 50% chance that your target will die instead of you. You lose this power after one person dies in place of you. Hidden: Because he is a King in his own right, Rool cannot be killed with the Kingmaker vote and requires +2 votes to be lynched.
Kannonballs, Zingers, Coconuts, and Beavers! – Once per game, you may choose to activate this. It is a mass role-block. Every other player’s action will fail. You are the only one who will be able to act for the night.
You win when no threats to The Dons remain.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
The weakest of the dons, he also had some hidden aspects. His reverse bodyguard actually failed when he was targeted, which surprised me so much. I think at the point he only ever targeted Phoenix for the reverse body guard.
Vlad3theimpaler as Apocalypse (GSX - The Dons) -You are Apocalypse. You are the Don of the Dons (Or so you think you are). Also known as Apocalypse and his 4 horsemen, the acronym is meant to help conceal your identities. Evil to the core, your exploits have included trying to stop time, a plague to scour the planet of humanity. Even failing at those time and again, you remain devoted to chaos and destruction. You are, after all, the personification of evil. You are also familiar with traveling from world to world. This new realm is not a hinderence to you. You have assembled a team of four to become your horsemen here, but they have no interest in filling the job. FOOLISH MORTALS! You are the great En Sabah Nur! How dare they refuse to be your horsemen? Nevertheless, you will put forth your “Survival of the Fittest” attitude here, with or without those fools.
Town cloak - Due to your shapeshifting abilities, you may pass as town if investigated by an alignment cop.
Bulletproof - As long as you have a horseman remaining, you are unlynchable and cannot be night killed. Though be careful. Every 2nd time you are successfully lynched or killed, one of your horsemen will be sacrificed. The choice is yours, or I will randomize it for you.Hidden: Apocalypse does not have his horseman in this game, save for Famine who will die in place of him the first time Apocalypse is killed. Any time after this he is targeted for a kill or lynch, Apocalypse will die.
Pusher - Choose two players. All players targetting B will target A instead, as will all players targetting A directly. You can push a player in front of yourself if you desire.
You win when no threats to The Dons remain.

I ALMOST left his role intact so that he would kill off his mafia one by one, but then I figured that character wise, none of the dons would be willing to die for him. So I gave him an extra life.
