Gotta say, with Darq's explanation, I find it pretty hilarious.
yeah, I admit if he had left out the fact that I targeted a PGO in his PM saying I was dead, I would have just assumed I got what was coming and laughed even more
Rokk_Krinn- "Telling the truth and sticking by it always looks clumsier because it's not a pre-planned malice."
Made me angrier when darq told me post mortum that he was mafia friendly. He kept killing us when he could have won with us.
Grumble.
Admittedly, I didn't make it explicit. He would have had to read his win condition, and when players learn they are the SK, they assume they know what their win condition is
"Why would the possibility of me being wrong ever stop me from doing something?"

I love SK roles that are more than just: Kill Everyone
One of my favorite Roles ever was when I was Heero/Wing Gundam in a movie game.
After a certain number of kills, I could just become a vanilla survivor, and I almost got it.
One final thing (yes, yes, I know, I say this too often), this game's name Samurai was sort've a hint as to the theme, as I always envisioned the Samurai as the Law of the past. A bit of a stretch, but there you go.
Looking back at all the past HAWT games, we have a nice array of winners:
HAWT I: 1 Mafia, 1 Neutral Survivor
HAWT II: 4 Cult
HAWT III: 3 Town
HAWT IV: 1 Serial Killer
HAWT V: 3 Town, 1 Neutral Survivor (+1 Neutral Midgame)
HAWT VI: 4 Mafia, 1 Neutral Survivor
HAWT VII: 3 Town, 1 Neutral Survivor
Interesting to see the Survivor win 3 times in a row.
Next game MAY be Embrace The HAWTness Redux II: The Movie Edition. We'll see.
"Why would the possibility of me being wrong ever stop me from doing something?"
Sorry you feel that way but my role wasnt a survivor neutral type...see if you have those then yeah you can do what you want....but as a specific win condition survivor you have do something and thus as you see I had to prolong to win....funny thing I figured I would not get hit with PGO as I often go whole games not being targeted I have been told by mods

This is the style of play that causes town to just say kill the neutrals on principle.

I admit, that was my worst clue I gave. However, the Skye Clue Cop was basically using the web to learn information, and in the "real world" of the HAWT universe, I envisioned that should would order a lot of stuff from Home Depot
Hey, I'm not know for the best clues LOL
Hey, I am not complaining overmuch. I was able to make some kind of sense of the other clues you sent.
At least you're not like Stan, who in the same situation would have sent a clue about Kaylee that would read something like this: "Special K cereal is soggy when served with 2% white milk, but if you are wearing Lee jeans on a Tuesday then the breakfast mechanic could make a huge difference."
And then expect me to get the clue "because it's crystal clear what he meant." Hahahahaha!!!!

Really, what ARE the odds there'd be a clue cop in the town... oh, right, this is me in a Hawtness game. 101%.
In all fairness, mosy of the time clue cop is a mafia power in my games. Not a role that I would use for a fake claim but there you go.

I will say that giving the town a theme hurts the mafia. Coming up with role claims can often be challenging enough. Having to have them fit a theme that you don't know what it is adds to that.
Personally, I think the mafia should have been told the theme off the bat (as they usually know their own theme). But maybe I'm based here.
