So some of you may remember that I was trying to get into the United Nation's Office for Outer Space Affairs. Well, I found out today that I was not accepted to that office. Instead, I have been relegated to "Magnets, how do they work?". This is embarrassing.

During lunch hour today with the junior high students, I got to witness a feat of coordination and composure that leads me to believe the kid may some day become a super hero.
This kid, Houston, somehow managed to sit down on the edge of his chair and had it slowly flip out from under him. He had literally just opened a carton of milk as he sat down. It was like watching a fall in slow motion. He rotated his arm and contorted his body as he slowly fell to the ground, the whole time keeping the full milk carton virtually unmoved as the rest of him fell to the floor. He held the arm up- with the intact, full milk carton thrust up in triumph- like he'd just caught a touchdown.
It may be the coolest, funniest thing I have seen all week.
It was based on overall points KOed across the entire event.
I won month 2 or 3, but finished in the top 3 in points every month. Let's hear one for consistency!
In month 6 I finished 2nd overall @ 2/1 but had the most points of the night to pass THAT GUY and win by 341 points.
I wiped my first opponent in about 10 Minutes - W 499 to 0.
Second Round, I played THAT GUY, close match that went to time because he got a lead and slow played the rest of the match. L 160 - 200. I probably would have taken him if he played at a normal pace.
Third round I played Johnny from Char-Vell's area and beat him 286 - 75. He is a very slow deliberate player not the same as THAT GUY. I had him and given a normal paced game would have wiped him.
THAT GUY went into the night with a 300ish point lead on me but he wiped no one and got blanked by Pops in the last round giving me the overall win.
I hung out and listened to THAT GUY whine and complain for a few minutes, it was awesome.

I am legitimately sorry I missed that.
Your post makes me giggle like a little girl.

Way to represent the LPC! I feel as though you won Nekron in my name. I'm proud of you, and have decided to let you keep it.

.
Johnny is a swell guy and fun to hang out with....
...but....
...I don't enjoy playing clix with him in a tournament setting, probably because I don't enjoy tourneys in general and have the patience of a 6 year old. Slow play REALLY sets my teeth on edge, especially combined with "turtling" or "score points and run".
He's slow and deliberate in casual games too, but the comments he makes while deciding what to do are funny and most entertaining.
