Hey I need someone with an intimate knowledge of the Star Wars universe to clarify some things for me in my attempt to make my mafia game better. The person needs to be someone who's not signed up for my game and someone who is REALLY good at this stuff. Not even Macaque, who is a huge Star Wars buff, was able to help me.

You know, I think folks tend to forget that about me. (See my "Whine about early death" rant the other Day or the way folks will ask if anyone has any idea about what to do for a health problem....and never ask. )

Just was thinking the other day though how much I miss when my schedule was slightly different so I could actually devote proper time to Mafia games. Used to be I could keep hammering on a person to get a lynch or keep talking if I needed to avoid one. Now I'm gone too much to be of value.

I think I have gone up too much used to be able to fly under the radar but now everyone seems to want me gone ASAP

It's because of talky. More talky=dangerous. Mafias like a quiet game.

And yet, the theory that mafiosos remain quiet has been proving itself more and more true lately.

The town wants me gone too...if they have nothing they decide to try to vote me out XD I think they have started to figure out that mass chaos, confusion and the town not knowing anything are my trademarks for when I am mafia

Well, if I may take a sidebar with you on your mafia playstyle:

You talk a lot when you're town.

You don't talk at all when you're mafia.

Furthermore, and I may be partly responsible for this, some of us are of the opinion that you have a good "read", but you just don't follow up on them because you don't communicate well forum-wise. The lack of punctuation, your entire post being one sentence, the use of emotes that don't even translate, capitalization being a random thing......all of it kinda deters from your command of attention. We still read your post. It just doesn't hit us quite like you want it to.

So, some of us have spoken with others, and have noted that you can point us in the right direction sometimes, and that we have to take over some of your leads for you. Remember Kingmaker, and others? Remember how I blatantly ask you who you think is mafia, some games? That's why. Because I know that you won't lead a lynch train, yet you'll have a good idea who to lynch.

As is continually the problem with this forum, we are a severely closed player group. Each new strategy only lives a short while, before it is cut to ribbons. I can only assume that people have eventually moved to counteract this one.


Thing is, I haven't even been in a game for about 2 months, until Bioware opened, so I can't believe that's the only reason. But, maybe it's one of the bigger ones. If it is: My bad.

I used to try and change up playstyle subtly, but I'm sure I've fallen into a trap of some sort. I'd love to know what people see as a "Yup he's mafia" or "Yup he's town" moment for me.
