First off BE NICE TO ME! I'm just starting this envoy thing, and there will be bugs every once in a while.....

Second: I think I did say Unsung won..........just one of the pesky bugs....

However the Arms Dealer is correct he did place 1st...... both of you got a LE so no harm no foul this time....

Being new to this (being an Envoy) and not playing for nearly as long as some of you, I ask that you please bear with me as I get a little more comfortable.

As for the prize Dist.: As long as NGN Figs hold out 1st and 2nd will recieve prizes (hey even last and 2nd to last got something this thurs).But I feel compelled to try to get new players interested in the game.

Derrick (hope I spelled that right) is a good guy, allowing us to play at his store, not requiring us to buy product, and offering to stay open late JUST FOR US. So if I can bring in new players who will buy stuff from him, I have to do it! Not only that I want to!

HOWEVER I am a big fan of theme teams. Not so much comic related (I have been out of reading them for a while), but teams with fun and interesting themes (ala a nameless players "Green Team"). This will always garner some consideration......But don't expect to get a prize everytime you dress your figures in skirts and pom-poms.

I am doing this mainly for you guys, so if you have any suggestions or feedback please feel free to talk to me. I will not bite your head off or hold it against you....


On a side note: Went and saw 300 tonight..... AWESOME! It would take too long here to explain all the reasons why.....But it makes me glad to be a man, and makes me want to pick up a game controller and KILL SOMETHING!!!!!!!

How did Roland do prizes? did he go by the 2 highest point totals? or did he give the one to the flawless record and the other with the next highest point total (because you're going to have a few 3-1's, or 2-1's...whichever is applicable).

They should have made Gentleman Ghost glow in the dark, seriously....or Spectre.

I'd like to get all 10 of them and run them into some clix teams, just for tits and grins.

And is it just me or was Thursday 'tentpole 300 pt. constructed'.
I mean, two Thanos teams?! Icons Superman?! KC Green Lantern.
There were only 2 non-tentpole teams, but man! the fact that 4 people went through with this without contacting each other (at least I don't think so) is weird and awesome.

I have a new hatred for KC Green Lantern. My first game against KCGL in...EVER. Disbanded kinda hurts Thanos....a lot.
At least I got Poor Teamwork on it....the proverbial purple middle finger for all those POGS! Still didn't help my situation out any.

Supes had me scared. We ended up both Crit missing that game. There is nothing worse than Crit missing with a one man team. Kinda puts the fear of god in ya. It also doesn't help that Icons Superman DOESN'T have a bad click except for those KO slots.

I was happy that I got to go against the other Thanos team. But like all tentpole VS. tentpole, it all goes to who can land their hits first and who can keep up an aggressive tempo.

It's a fun team to run, but I dislike how it'll do either ridiculously good or really really bad.

I just cannot wait until we can use Origins in constructed.

Hope somebody pulls some gold-ring ebay fodder. I'm actually hoping NO ONE pulls Wizard SHAZAM, because that thing looks like he'll destroy any sealed team. On top of whoever pulls him will ebay him prompty afterwards. Double whammy.

Except for Unsung playing Thanos, I don't see that as so unusual for the group. Guaranteed that if Mike and Eric had shown up, there would have been two more!

Actually, as I think back over the other times I've used KCGL, I think I've been outwitted and destroyed. Of course, I can't recall who ran with him during those previous matches.

Guess we'll be seeing more outrageous scenario rules like the upcoming 500 pt, but nobody over 200 pt AND no feats AND no character that had a bisexual grandmother in ANY story arc or . . . well, you know what I mean. With all the anti-Jim-owned-figure rules, I've boiled it down to this - next tournament I'm bringing a Hyrda Footsoldier swarm team. Any complaints?

And as for Alfred, I'm stoked I actually pulled a chase I wanted most out of the 4. If it had been the others, I'd be tempted to trade away for tons of swag while the getting is good....but Alfred.........Legacy Bats need some tailoring done, dang it all!!!!!!!

From the Offical HeroClix Comprehensive Tournament Rules:

1.3.1 Tournament Record Tiebreakers
Tournament win-loss record ties are resolved by the following criteria in the order below:
1) Total victory points
2) Opponent’s win-loss record
3) Opponent’s total victory points
Tiebreakers 1 and 2 may be switched at the Judge’s discretion. If the Judge chooses to do this, he must announce this to all players before any pairings have been made.

This is only applied if two or more players have the same number of wins. Total Wins are always the first criteria to determine player standings. If one player has 3 wins, he is ranked higher than a player with 2 wins, regardless of any other victory condtion. Period.

If two or more players have the same number of wins, then you use the tie-breakers stated above. For my tournaments I modified the above tie-breakers criteria and added a level ahead of Total Victory Points. This was Head-to-Head Record. If two players have the same number of wins, but one player defeated the other, that player would be ranked higher regardless of Total Victroy Points.

Offical, WizKids never looks at Head-to-Head record. If two players have the same number of wins, the player with more Total Victory Points would be ranked higher. In my system, it is possible (and happened often) for a player to be ranked lower than another player with the same number of wins but have more Total Victory Points than that player. In my book, a head-to-head victory carries more weight. Call it the sports fan in me.

FYI, in the above criteria, you only move on to criteria #2 if two players have the exact same amount of Total Victory Points. I have never had to do that at my tournamet for final standings. Interestingly enough, that did happend to me at WWChicago '05 and they went off of Build Totals and not Opponent's Win-Loss Record. I lost a Dark Phoenix because of that.

I'm done. Finished. No more judging for me. Nope. Don't talk to me if you're gonna talk about clix. I'm walking away. You can't do it! Once a judge, always a judge.
