Wow. I never thought I'd say these words, but this makes me want to watch Episode VI again.
EDIT: Oh, wait. VI was from the first trilogy. I liked those ones, but I don't really remember those scenes very well, so I'll have to see that one again.
There is more I could go into like how the relationship between Django & his German "owner" felt similar to the relationship Luke had with Obi Wan Kenobi.

Episode 2 is a GREAT film, on par with episodes 4, 5, and 6, if you edit out every scene involving anakin/padme together. Most of my friends didn't believe me, until I showed them the finished product; give a try. The great story following Obi-Wan and Jango is well worth it.
I just finished watching The Mist(2007), with Laurie Holden(Andrea), Jeffrey DeMunn(Dale), Melissa McBride(Carol), and that idiot who is the main character in Force Unleashed video game(who plays a zombie in walking dead) from the Walking Dead cast because of a recommendation from my mother(who is also a big fan of the Walking Dead).
We were both wondering why the heck there was so many cast members from the same show in 1 movie, and then I say the name Frank Darabont; and all my questions were answered. Totally worth it. Rather annoying film with the stereotypical over the top religious morons, and cowards too spineless to stand up against the psychos who just watch people die in front of them. And the end, I literally laughed out loud at the ridiculousness. It could have been an AMAZING movie, if a few changes were made. Oh well.
"This is THE WORLD! Not that you would be able to see it or even feel it, since time has stopped..." Need Batman-family clix

Now you understand why when Carol walked through that door earlier this season I couldn't stop laughing. The reason is that Frank Darabont had done nearly the exact same thing to her in the movie and she was only the second person from the department store known to survive "The Mist" . She must have read that script and been like "what do you mean I walk through a door and vanish AGAIN wasn't once enough". HAHAHA
You're kidding, right? That movie was absolutely amazing.

I agree that II would be good if edited a bit. Same could be said for all of em though (I would be great if you trimmed it down to about 40 minutes)

I am not kidding. I did not like that movie at all. It was like two separate movies that got mushed together awkwardly, didn't have any remotely likable characters and then there was whatever weird CGI/makeup thing they were doing with Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I get that they wanted him to look like a young Bruce Willis, but man they strayed from the mark.
Watched all of the Oscar Animated short films of 2013 last night, and enjoyed it very much. There's something a lot of fun about animated shorts - they exist in a bubble, have their own rules, and don't follow formulaic hollywood scripts.

where did you find them all to watch and what were they? i love short cartoons
Watched Compliance on Friday, was pretty good. A bit freaky though. Tried to watch Jack and Diane but it was too slow so I stopped watching after about 30 minutes.
Just watched "My Bloody Valentine" (1981)on netflix.
Not a horrible slasher pic. You have to make some leaps of logic and yes you can figure out the killer halfway through the movie (not that I'm a great detective), but I wasn't disappointed. The ending was unexpected. Guess they did things a little differently "back in the day".

Would recommend it if you're in the mood.
Agreed, I always thought it was another Halloween/Friday the 13th knock-off (I guess it kind is) but I ended up getting more into the thing than I expected.

Huh, I couldn't disagree more. But to each their own I suppose. I though it was a great, fun take on the time travel genre. Not to mention it's always nice to see an original story out there in the sea of remakes, sequels, spin-off, and movies based off of existing material.
I just finished this movie called "Megan Is Missing". The acting was horrible, the script seemed even worse, but the last maybe 20-25 minutes of the movie escalated to an absurdly violent level. It went from one scene that really was taking me out of the movie and making me regret watching it, to almost a half an hour of completely regretting watching it for a whole new reason. Still, not worth seeing the beginning to witness the end.

I am fortunate enough to live in a city that was running them as a feature length film along with a few honorable mentions. I think you might find some on itunes as well.
