So I'm working on increasing my maximum situps. I can do a ton of crunches as that's what you're told to do by all the fitness gurus (instead of situps) because they are better for your back. Well now I need to do situps for the police officer fitness test and I suck at situps. WTH?!?

I've met many officers over the years that I doubt have ever heard of such a thing.

You can blame the Spartans for sit-ups. Though they had few equals on the battlefield so I guess there is something to be said for them.
I know it's been said they are bad for your back but I don't know that I've ever heard how exactly they are bad for your back. Then again they make chairs for you to sit in to work your abs. So I'm thinking the back thing was just a lazy persons excuse from sit-ups.

I think once you get the job, you don't need to meet a fitness requirement anymore. I've seen my share of officers that have slid a bit in the fitness department.

I'm guessing if you do total core exercises, it will minimize the injury risk. It's just a lot of stress on your low back or so articles will say. But if situps were really that bad, would they still have you do them in the military and police force? Perhaps they are just bad for those who are not regular exercisers due to the increased intensity?
Sit-ups fancy name for the stools at dunkin donuts/krispy creme?
If I can get one of these officer jobs, I should be safe. I don't like candy or doughnuts. I also learned that bagels can be worse for children's teeth than candy. Fun fact, eh?

My Lorthos The Tidemaker commander deck has a foil seventh edition Giant Octopus in it. Turns out if you kill someone with a foil seventh edition Giant Octopus, you get all the style points. That's where they went, guys. I got 'em all.

I think a better phrasing of my question would be "Was it about the history of zombies (treating them as if they actually existed) or about the history of zombie stories and lore (and focusing on how those stories changed and evolved)?"

According to the description one their website it was the history of zombies. Well the myths and legends of zombies throughout history anyhow.
See, that's history-ish. It's not black and white footage of Nazi submarines, I'll grant you, but there's really only so much of that that one can raid from stock footage archives.

Judging by the History channel anymore they really could have gone either way. Like I said from the description it was about the lore. Though if the crazy hair alien theory guy was involved probably they treated it as the real deal.
