I agree with you on the Verdicts or any other "for the rest of the game" effects out there.
Zola takes a click for the Verdict. Hits his Stop Click with Regen. Rolls 5, but only heals 2 with the Stop Click penalty
The Gwens Perplex Dr. Light's AV to 13
Dr. Light on Pixie, AV13 on DV18 +2. Gets 9. Pixie makes it 8. That's a KO.
Blocking is just a throwaway. Tarot. Rolls for her Major Arcana 5: 4-5=Hermit. Tarot can use Barrier as if she possessed a range value of 3 and Poison. Barrier hasa better default range now, so she will just use her Barrier to block.
Zola seems a perfect choice for the penalty. However he should take tokens for regen, it's not a free action.
Also Light should take a mystics from Pixie.
2 planning for Beast. He'll again remove a token from Chuck.
1 evidence for LT.
I didn't add my objects or new stuff when crossing 9k. Doing so now.
I don't want to risk Black Knight so much, I like the guy and just brought him in. So he'll do an id card of himself. He ports to E13.
Charges to I15 on Copycat. SC is 3, good. Needs 5, rolls 4. Argh.
Xorn tries to heal Jan. Needs 4, rolls 10. E-Lad is full. Can't do a thing, though.
Enter the Cuckoos. They're stupid expensive these days but work into my plans.
I'm giving Xavier darkness within.
Via the Knight ID card Xavier outwits Copycat's sc and attacks Copycat using darkness within on Mindee. Needs 6, rolls 4. Argh. Mindee makes it 4 again. Man.....
Mindee flies her sisters to D8 and E9, she's D9.
LT boosts his dv.

Roll for Tarot's Trait - a 2. Glad that's out of my system. 2-3=Death. Give Tarot a power action and make a close combat attack targeting each opposing character within 3 squares. Roll a d6 and subtract 1. Each character hit is dealt that much damage.
Potentially nice, but I have to get her into position, and with her AV9, probably not worth the trouble for what I'd get.
Zola takes his Damage (giving him that token form Regenning last turn)
Moira on Scarecrow, AV10 on Dv17. Gets 3. Yeesh.
Ok, so no Barrier this turn. May as well go for it.
Gwens Perplex Nimrod's Damage to 6.
Nimrod teleports to B/C15/16, chooses Psychic Blast for this turn. Targets the Tribunal and Mindee. AV12 on DV18 and 15 +1. Gets 5. Not settling for that. Enchantress makes it 7. Mindee makes it 5. Grr. Well Mindee pays for that with her life. 4 Damage KOs her.
Dr. Light Sides to C18
Enchantress TKs Scarecrow to A16
Scarecrow on Phoebe. AV10 on Dv16. Gets 9. This time I could have gone for Tribunal. I Didn't trust myself. 3 to Phoebs.
Copycat to Break from Black Knight to Sidestep. Gets 1.
"I sense shields protecting the Living Tribunal that challenge even me to penetrate," Nimrod said. "So instead, I will deal with the mutants. Which is my prime directive anyway." He blasted one of the Cuckoos. The other two gasped in hive minded pain.
"Didn't like that did you? Maybe you might be afraid of it happening to you next?" the Scarecrow said, targeting the second Cuckoo. Unlike Nimrod's attack, it wasn't enough to take her out of the fight entirely, but his fear gas, on top of Mindee's traumatic fall nearly incapacitated her.
I've outsmarted myself. Brought in the Cuckoos to be koed for LT's evidence but they don't apply, too cheap.
Pheebs swap a click for X-ta with Esme. Or vice versa, actually. Now both are pcers.
4 planning for Beast.
Beast to D9, outwits Nimrod's invincible.Sides to F7.
LT makes his damage 5 on Nimrod, Scarecrow, Copycat. SC is 4. Rolls 4. Phebe: 2. Ugh. Esme: 8. Nimrod's running comparative trait: 6. You know, I'm going to ko Scarecrow. Silly of me but I might be better off for LT going for pieces I could ko.
Xavier, via Phoebe, outwits Nim's indom.
E-Lad barriers.
LT sides to BC7,8.
I guess Beast removes tokens from Xavier.
Xavier tries to mc Nims. SC is 1. Needs 8, rolls 8. Nice. He'll just move to AB15,16 to block.
Remember that the Cuckoos boosts each others cvs. For all the good that might do.
So Scarecrow koed and blocked, Nimrod's indom is outwitted, moved to BC15, 16

Only 1 combat value, and only if they take an action. I'll assume you'll want DV for Esme.
Zola takes the Verdict Damage
Zola uses Regeneration. Gets 5. Heals 3.
Tarot rolls 8 - 6-8=High Priestess. Tarot can use Defend and Probability Control. Well that's useful anyway. She moves to C15
Copycat sides back to G15, uses my last ID Card for JLA Green Arrow42. Who will EE on Phoebe, AV12 on DV15. Gets 11. Overkill there. She may as well PC it, it's her only chance. Makes it 11 again. 2 to her, 2 to Esme.
That worked so well, let's do it again. DXF Stingray. Teleports to E13, Outwits SC on Phoebe and targets her with EE, AV10 on DV13. Gets another 11. Kind of figures, now when all those 4s and 5s that I roll all the time would have been sufficient, now I get the great rolls. Soon as I start shooting for Tribunal again, just watch, I'll be back in the basement. Anyway, both of the last Cuckoos are KOd.
I could block with Dr. Light, but he's too good to throw away like that.
Gwen 1 to D20. Both Gwens Perplex Nimrod's DV to 20
"The Cuckoos are pretty good in the telepathy department, but they're inexperienced, so if we can distract them, we can break their concentration," Tarot said.
"Distract them? Like with bright lights and loud noises?" Copycat asked, lobbing a flash grenade onto the roof. "I can do that."
"I like that plan. I may do more of the same," Stingray swooped in and hit the remaining Cuckoos with a concussive blast.
3 planning for Beast. He'll remove from Chuck again.
LT makes his damage 5 on Stingray, Copycat, Light. SC is 1 and 3. Rolls 10. I'll ko Light. 1 evidence to LT.
Cobalt Man replaces the Cuckoos. Jean tks him to the porter.
He pops out at E15 and pulses. Gets 9. 1 to Copy, Stingray, Tarot, Nimrod. Rolls for damage 1,5,5,1. Per his trait, the hit characters with the lowest roll gets 1 penetrating. I think both Copycat and Nimrod would get that.
E-Lad barriers.
Via Cobalt Xavier on Tarot. Needs 7, gets 6. Outwits Nimrod's rce.
So Light is koed, 1 to Tarot, 1 to Stingray and 2 (I think) to both Nimrod and Copycat. Nim's rce is outwitted

Tarot rolls for her Arcana 3. 2-3=Death. Give Tarot a power action and make a close combat attack targeting each opposing character within 3 squares. Roll a d6 and subtract 1. Each character hit is dealt that much damage. That might be worth pushing her for. We'll see.
NImrod takes a Structural Damage token from that attack. Removes it to heal 1.
Now is the time for Red She-Hulk I think. I opted to use Jen instead of her before, but at this point, I'm not winning this game anyway, and if she's a little expensive she'll just get us to the end that much faster.
Stingray pushes to F8, Outwits Beast's Stealth.
Before I do anything with her though, Nimrod's going first. He's got a shot at Beast. LOF tool says it clears the Barrier. Gwens Perplex his AV to 12 and Damage to 4. Nimrod chooses to use Psychic Blast this turn. 300 point rule gives me three dice. AV12 on DV18 +1. Gets 4,5,4. KOs him. That's one cog removed from your machine.
Now Red She-Hulk Charges to C16 on Cobalt, AV11 on DV18. Gets 6. Enchantress makes it 10. 2 to him after Invincible.
What the heck, let's push Tarot. AV9 on DV17. With 3 dice she could pull it off. 1,2,4. Nope.
Moira on Zola, AV10 on DV17. Gets 11. Support roll is 4. Heals him up 2.
Copycat Sides to E15, tries to attack Cobalt, AV10 on DV17. Back to 3 dice, 6,3,2. 2 mor Penetrating to him.
"That's quite a tin can you've got for yourself there. Luckily I've got a can opener with me. It's called my fists," Red She-Hulk said, starting to wreck Cobalt Man's armor.
"Good. You deal with him," Nimrod said. "I have X-Men to destroy." With that, he picked the Beast out from the mutants arrayed in front of him and took him down with one shot.
I'm a bit surprised you went for Beast but shouldn't be.
I'll get to all the games today but these are the easiest and closest to the end.
1 evidence to Tribunal.
So time to give Black Knight something to do. Jean tks him to E7. He attacks Stingray. Needs 6, gets 6. Kos him. Another evidence to Tribunal.
AIM Blue replaces Beast. A trio. In today's game they may be overcosted but what the heck.
Cobalt turns off indom, I guess that won't be a thing in new rules, needs 8 to attack Reshulky, gets 8. Dings her 1.
Replacement is Old Man Logan. He might as well go for Reshulky. Xavier outwits Reshulky's invulnerable. Needs 5, rolls 6. BCF is 6...kos her. 1 evidence to LT.
I have no real way to block.
Some of my AIM guys side.
So Red She-Hulk and Sitngray koed, the latter blocked.
