Choon Hui - Unless you have a way to perplex Saturn Girl's range to 13 while perplexing Live Wire's Range to 9 Green Arrow is out of range for Saturn Girl. Please post what you are perplexing so we know.

I can't believe it! I get a DPA! Oh well.

The JSA (and I presume the JLA) are outraged at being blamed for Alfred's being knocked unconsous by the Smurfs. Especially Hawkgirl who didn't blame the Legion for being attacked by a half dozen of the little blue vermin. Ripping lots of her gear to shreads, (mental image hmm . . . . )

Glorfindel's Syndicate has done an admirable job of helping the forces of good eliminate the threat posed by the Smurf infestation. While they have not been particularly helpful in saving the civilians they they have not interfeared with rescue operations.

Blaming other teams for your inability to help civilians or your own teamates seems like an unfounded attempt to shift the blame.

Choon Hui - For some reason I forgot to move Green Arrow on the map. He moved and is in range so your attack is legal. Sorry about that!

Story post

Plastic Man was turning into a puddle of goo after being struck by a vicious psychic attack from Despero, who'd apparently appeared from behind him out of nowhere. "Help me! I'm melting, melting.." he cried dramatically, his head barely keeping it's shape on top of the puddle. Next thing, Flash zoomed around the corner, but instead of assisting, he kicked Plastic Man's head and sent it flying. The head frowned as it flew off, shouting back at Flash "HEY! What'd you do that for? It's going to take me ages to pull myself back together after this...." before landing with a thud on the rooftop between Moondragon's legs. Plas's eye's boggled out of his head. "Never mind, the view from up here is outstanding." Moondragon gave him a follow up psychic blast out of disgust, turning his head into another puddle. "Oh darn..." were the last words he managed to say.

Flash ran over to Despero, and then stopped and scratched his head. "Why did I just do that?" he asked the big pink monster. Despero just smiled and lifted his massive arms up ready to smash the Flash, so Flash took off, back to where Aquaman and Green Arrow were hiding.

Then Green Arrow shook his head and finally collapsed. "What is going on here?" Flash asked Aquaman. Arthur pointed to the Legion nearby. "It's their doing. Perhaps Despero has taken control of them also. Saturn Girl's psychic might added to his own is not something we can allow."

Story

Despero’s tirade continued. “I will force all heroes to bow before me. I will rain the fire of judgment upon them and they will be found unworthy. I will . . .” Then he saw Black Adam through the bank window. It appeared that he was planning a sneak attack with Kraven the Hunter (hiding in ruble in a big yellow lion suit did not make any sense to Despero but, he sensed Black Adam was a better target for a mind spanking.

“Taste the fire of judgment!” He let loose with a Psychic Blast that nearly knocked Black Adam from his feet. When the pain subsided he swore, then kneeled, then found himself unworthy of facing Despero.

Logan took the assault from Raven and looked around. He could run, never his style. Or he could take a deep breath and call upon his reserves to heal.

He breathed deep and bones began to knit. He saw the young man on the top of the stairs with the gaudy red and white costume and the Buick Le Sabre in his hands. “All right junior, I been hit by one car today and I don’t aim to make it two, bring it on.”

Heather landed behind him, “You will not face the likes of this crowd of street toughs alone.”

Logan smiled, “Last man standing buys the beers.”

Richard - I know Psychic Blast goes through things but the a) the squares at T5-7 are blocking terrain. I even noted this in my turn in case you were going to try and attack Hawkman. And b) The window was ruled blocking terrain way back when Wakandaman wanted to Perplex Flash's damage with Plasticman through it. So the attack is illegal. Did you really think I would put Black Adam where you could attack him?

Richard - I was just looking for basis for my call and it is in post 47 on page 4. Just after the stats for the moloids. Go ahead and redo your turn before someone on team good goes.

Don't like the ruling but, ALC is not stupid enough to move Black Adam into trouble and I know that. I should have studied his motives.

Despero moves to D14.

Story

Despero bounds over the roof top and lands in front of Moondragon.

Logan smiles and thinks, 'I just might survive this.'

He then looked up at Hawk, Dove, and Raven, "Look, I know this looks bad working with people you consider to be villains in your reality. In my reality we have heroes who save countless lives and they are branded criminals. It goes both ways. I am not telling you that Despero and Deathstroke are going to turn over a new leaf and become heroes. I'm sure the opposite will happen when this is all over. But, it is not over.

"I have it on good authority that these little blue guys were spreading a disease. We are all infected with it right now. Our ally, the one who escaped with that book, is being used as a test case to synthesize an antidote. We need your help to contain it. The heroes and villains here need to stay here until that antidote can be found. Help me keep them here."

The Titans looked from one to another and then over at their allies the Legion of Super Heroes. What to do? His plea sounded genuine.

"And besides, when all is said and done and a cure is found, then we can worry about Despero and his motives. We don't need this to spread. Will you join with me to stop them?"

Despero grunted in agreement. "Togehter we stand triumphant today. Tomorrow is another matter and we will deal with it tomorrow."


Logan and Despero offer an alliance to the Teen Titans and the Legion.
