OK, I'm working up the list, but I am posting to say I am retiring the Avengers! I've come down to playing the same 6 or so characters in each matchup and I need to get something fresh.

I'm looking for some good themes that might be otherwise hard to do without a bunch of points. I'm gonna avoid another one of my weird motley crew groups and want a legit theme. If anyone has any strange ideas, I'd ask you to throw one at me! Prime's Titans? The Elders of the Universe? What should it be?

I could never do it as I'm not brave enough but if you want a challenge with some crossover appeal my theme for you is Atlantis theme as you can play both sides of Marvel and DC characters as well as mess with opponents with water maps.

GLC has never been done successfully, to my knowledge.

Could go Indie and unleash some Relentless Kaiju.

7 Deadly Sins? Not necessarily expensive, but you could have fun drafting "Sinners".

Also, dare I say it: you could run the WoL Entities.

I've actually thought about Atlantis for sometime now. The key would be to got DC and have a Marvel person trade you Namor. Ocean Master and some of the new Aquaman Dials give you decent range. Aqualad is a solid tank, and Mera provides some good TK. Throw in Mermaid support, and if your lucky wreck some house with Namor. It's not bad, but it doesn't require high points to pull off.

I actually think under current format, GLC could be quite good - just keep your hands off my Simon Baz!

Kaiju would be amazing! I would love to see someone run that.

I would have to call shenanigans on an Entities team. I can't recall a time when they have acted in concert - maybe it's happened in the last two years, but I don't remember it happening prior to that.


Doombot, I think if you want to capitalize on your big points go with Elders. You could launch a new God Squad (have theme to Galactus). Squadron Supreme is not a bad idea. Imperial Guard is doable - though you might still have points leftover.

I think you would probably run out of points, but you might try DC Olympians if Wonder Woman is free. Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, Hades, Ares and Circe are all available. Maybe get a Marvel team to trade you Hercules.

Annihilators is another big point team, though you might still have leftover points after recruiting all of them.


You could overwhelm your opponents with an Armies of Sauron theme.

I would love to see a Pacific Rim team in the FLE. That, or the Heralds of Galactus. THAT would be a ton of fun, and you could have Terrax from the Amazing Spider-Man set (and Firelord).

If you run a relic related team, you're still limited to 1 per team?

Masters of Evil, other Lanterns, 7 Sins all have the potential to bring more than themed relic to the table. It just won't work because of the rules.

What about Green Lanterns? Can you run more than one who can attach a construct to themselves as part of your team build?

I'd like to see a themed exception to the 1 Relic rule, as long as it's themed, and only the themed character can use the relic.

If theme can bring in more than 1 relic that opens up all the lantern corps into play!

Green Lanterns with the Construct trait could bring in more than one construct, but they would need to upgrade to multiple constructs.

Relics aren't against the rules. Relics are special objecs which require a roll to pick it up.

Resources are against the league. Resources are the things that make relics unfair and unfun.
