You're likely right. I'm missing some truly random pieces from Sinister, whereas I have most of Supernova.

I pretty much skipped Sin, and was pretty glad I did when I heard about the collation. Woof.

Sinister was bad. Supernova went wrong toward the end of the run. Figures didn't match the bases they came with. It was really a mess. I split a case with a friend. When were were done playing mix and match with bases and flyers the case worked out OK but there were some big ones missing. Badgerbite got something like 8 U Captain Marvels from his case. He posted his case results and someone from Wizkids sent him a free case to make up for it.

I didn't have any collation problems at all with either Sinister or Supernova. Icons was the set with the worst case colation for me. 48 figure set with only six SRs. I was still 4 figures short of a REV set and 2 figures short of all 6 SRs out of a whole case. That's horrible for such a small set...

Well, at least ICONS was aided by the fact that if you pulled V Superman, you pretty much didn't need to play anything else.

I only met him the once. Can't imagine he was happy with that.

Honestly, I think the worst collation I had was in Infinity Challenge. SOOOO many wasps/vultures were in each others' baggies.

On a funny note, I once got a Vet Criminal from a Hypertime pack and it had Vet Hawkman's dial attached to it. I went crazy!!! I thought...THIS IS THE BEST GENERIC EVER!!!! I realized a while later what actually happened as we weren't used to those things back in that day.

I was missing from the REVs- Rookie Scarecrow, Exp Wonder Woman, Exp Joker, and Rookie Cheetah.

I was missing from the SRs- Terra and Cyborg.

Rookie Firelord Dial on a Wasp base. Talk about borken.

Even I would be upset if I got a case that had nothing but a Silver Surfer Unique. Granted, I would kind of have to LAUGH at the situation, but it would still be irritating. A lot of legwork to trade for what I needed. Not nearly as bad, but out of my Hammer of Thor case, I pulled 3 SR Valkyries...
