I was being serious. This set looks ten times better than DC75. Most of these sculpts and paint jobs are pretty solid, whereas for every good sculpt we got in DC75, we got at least 2 others that were boring, uninspired and just plain butt ugly.
Now of course DC75 had some great dials, but based on nothing but the sculpt quality, Superman looks pretty great.
I think the Black Adam sculpt is pretty terrible. On top of the lightening affect just being gawdy, the sculpt of his neck/head and then his arm grabbing on to the stupid looking soldier just looks awful. If I was half a modder I'd cut the hand off and find a way to replace it.
So, after seeing the set, does anyone have a favorite sculpt out of Superman?
I LOVE the Darkseid sculpt. It's huge, it's scary looking, and it's iconic. Imperiex is gigantic and delightfully ridiculous looking. Flash, although he's been done many times before, looks cool. Composite Superman is both silly and creepy. Lots of good ones in this set.
Was Imperiex also tapped inside of the booster? If so, this could be the easiest set to cherry pick figures ever. Give the booster a simple shake and if you hear anything, it's either a Superman Robot, Imperiex, Black Adam, Queen of Fables, or Darkseid. Not bad options. I don't condone cherry picking, but it is an observation. Normally when there's a situation like this, some of the tapped figures are also C's or UC's.

I saw a couple Black Adams pulled, but didn't look closely at the sculpts. As he is low on my radar, if he doesn't look top notch it won't break my heart.
Oh, and now that I've opened a case and got about 4 hours of play in, I can say that if you are having troubles with turning the dial, just pop it off with a nail file and sand down the edges just like the old dials.

I haven't tried it yet, but are they easy to take apart?
It's like Michael Jordan going to the YMCA to play basketball.

I really like the common Superman Scupt. I know some people don't like it becuase he's just "standing there" but it's a great pose and looks great on the table, too.

I am sorry to complain but I must vent somewhere. The figures look good in the set. The two best sculpts are Aquaman and Swamp Thing in my opinion.
The one problem that I have is the paint job. The paint job for these figures make some decent looking figures and sculpts look shabbily done. My Darkseid's hood thing is not painted all the way and he looks deformed. Do not get me started on the Black Adam.

The Supergirl I looked at up-close had a really terrible paint job, too. Some others have nice paint, though-- it's certainly hhit or miss. My Brainiac 5 looks great, paintwise.

I do have a theory about Heroclix sculpts. They are best looked at from about 12 inches away from the eye. The best ones look great closer to the eye, the worst ones are ones that still look silly from a foot away or more.

You know who the "stupid looking soldier" is, right? That's actually George Massu, who was incorporated into the sculpt as the guy being choked by Black Adam.

I'm not saying George looks stupid, but the soldier on the sculpt does. It's an uninspired dial with an over the top sculpt that just ripped-off elements of the Shazam/Black Adam sculpt. Woo!
I think my problem stems from the fact that I don't care for "diorama-style" sculpts. I might be too hard on this figure, but I just don't care for it. I haven't pulled an Aquaman yet, but that is the type of sculpt I like. Simple, dynamic, and it conveys what the dial does.
Again, I wonder how the trading activity is for this set compared to Captain America. I heard that the CA trading was pretty slow, is it the same for this one?

So far from what I've heard there are two camps on this set. Those that were really excited about it and bought 2 or 3 cases and likely don't need to do much trading to complete their sets. And then there are those who were ambivalent at best and bought a brick or less and don't need to do much trading because they don't care to complete their sets.
I think the trading is going to be slow for this set too. But that's just my opinion and is based on no facts whatsoever.

I think that trading is slow for this set according to the amount of commotion in the trade forum.
