Have you ever watched this little TV show called "Crank Yankers"?
K-Man is the one receiving the telephone calls....

I'm the assistant trainer for the Pfizer Technical Support Group at Hewlett Packard. We're a technical help desk, but I get to spend all of my time on the phones lately.
I have no idea what the quality of my spoken English is. Not nearly as good as my written English, at least.
Same here.
I haven't had any opportunity to practice my spoken English since I left school. That's ten friggin years ago. I was a lot rustier than I had hoped.

Quebbs, I heard that English is taught in schools over there from kindergarten (or whatever that would equate to) and most are as proficient in English as their primary language. Is that true?
Small side note: I've always wanted to vist the Scandinavian countries. Even Denmark.

When I was a kid, English classes started in 4th grade, at age 10. It may start earlier now, I'm not sure. It does not start in kindergarten though. My kid happens to go to a kindergarten with a multilingual profile, and English is used as a lingua franca, so the kids there do know some English phrases.
One thing that does help English proficiency over here is that we use subtitles instead of dubbing for foreign TV shows and movies. There are a lot of American stuff there, so we are naturally exposed to English a lot of the time.
But no, proficiency is not at a "native speaker" level for most people.
Just got done watching X-men: First Class. As is my habit, I look through the IMDB Trivia section, and what do I find?

This is the second time that January Jones has been cast in 1962 opposite an actor with a pork based name. The first was in Mad Men opposite Jon Hamm and then this alongside Kevin Bacon.
