It was obvious something was wrong with time. Rig stared blankly into the distance as her world unraveled around her. "Isn't... Isn't there anything we can do?" She sighed as the sun finally set.
She walked back inside her office and say a note on her computer. Upon reading the message, she screamed out in frustration, completely unsure what to do next.
A lynch was not reached in time. Day 11 has ended, and Night 11 has begun.
The room was dark, the only light source coming from a small window in the only doorway in. Someone lay resting within the hidden chamber, but that rest was coming to a much needed end.
"Wake up." Rig said, kicking the person out of the bed in the room.
"Huh... what?" The man said trying to catch his bearings.
"You've been asleep for long enough." Rig walked to the door. With a swift kick, she knocked the door down letting in a flood of light.
"AAAAAHHHH!" The man said, shielding his eyes from the bright lights. He hadn't seen anything other than the darkness for almost 2 months.
"Get up. Get out there. Finish what you've started." Rig commanded.
"Rig, you're ruining everything by being here. I wasn't supposed to come back until the end. And from this list of people, there's still-" The man was cut off.
"There's still people here fighting for this world, but you're too busy trapped in your own nightmare of a game that you can't even see that people still care... or at least did." Rig grabbed the man and drug him out of the room.
The man resisted, clawing at the bed frame, then the door frame. It was futile as he was still not fully awake or rested. Rig pulled him out to the balcony of this hidden paradise.
"Look." Rig said, hoisting the man up over the balcony's edge. "LOOK."
The man looked out over the world. It was wrought with chaos.
"Do you understand what's been happening?" Rig asked.
"Yeah... A bunch of powered people were sucked into this realm and are now fighting over the right to call the planet their own. A select group wants to completely destroy the world. They have the power to do it, and your team has the power to stop them." The man explained.
"No..." Rig slapped the man in anger. "You screwed up. You screwed up many times. You missed something rather important, and it caused a problem. Now I can't make heads or tails of it, and so I don't know what's supposed to happen here."
"What did I do?" He asked, completely confused by what was happening.
"You gave up..." Rig frowned. Tears started to fall from her eyes. "This was one of your legacies, and you were so proud of the things you accomplished. Then you turned your back on it all."
"I..." The man stood up and finally started to realize what was happening. "I didn't mean to..."
"No... and you didn't mean to the first time, but you did." Rig turned to look at the chaos and destruction befalling Planet Mash-Up. "I understand that things happen in life... Sometimes we deal with bad things that we can't seem to overcome. We feel so much despair that we can't help ourselves, and it doesn't seem like anyone else can help us either."
"Wait... you mean..." The man started to say.
"Yes... when you first left. Everything in your world shattered... fell apart. You had a massive void you couldn't figure out how to repair. So you left. Over time, you healed and found yourself anew. You came back to open arms. You built a new world out of the ashes of the old. You were happy. You had it all." Rig said softly. The anger seemed completely gone from her.
"I... had it all..." The man echoed.
"And then something changed for you again. You started making mistakes, got sloppy... lazy... tired... You just wanted it all to go away. You wanted it all to end." Rig's energy was fading. "Well, it can all end when you want it to. You can go away again. You can let your new world sink into ashes once again. You can be done with it all." Rig motioned her hand over the balcony. "Out there... The final destruction awaits. Go on. Let the destruction happen. MAKE the destruction happen. Your world deserves that much. WE deserve that much."
"Rig, I... I'm sorry. I wanted... I..." The man almost started to cry, but then he shook his head. "No..."
"NO! This isn't the same! It's not the same as before. Before, I was in a world that was crumbling apart. Some of the closest people in my life abandoned me. I felt I had nothing, no one to turn to. Everything I was working so hard for was taken from me."
The man walked to the balcony's edge. "I reached the bottom, the proverbial end of my rope. You don't understand where I was during that time."
"I understand more than you realize." Rig said, comfort returning to her voice.
"I fought my way out of those dark trenches, and like you said, I rebuilt my world. I rebuilt it better, stronger. My world... I wore my world proudly around my neck. A reminder of all of the pain and struggle I went through." The man reminisced, reaching up for a pendant that once lay upon his chest. He smiled as his hand grasped at nothing, the pendant having some time been removed.
"It's not there anymore." Rig said sadly. "You lost your world. The world you worked so hard to build, you gave it up."
The man thought for a moment and smiled. "No, Rig. I never lost it. Not this time." He hopped onto the rail of the balcony. "I gave my world to someone else, someone that I knew I would be able to share it with. Someone who every day reminds me that no matter what happens, everything will work out. I'm not alone, and together, we will always find a way."
"You mean...?" Rig asked.
"Yes, Rig. I may have made some mistakes here and there, and I KNOW I'll continue making mistakes throughout my life... But my world is no longer just my world. I fought hard for my own place, my own slice of life. Now it's time to wake up and fight hard for his place, that place that lies within my own. I won't let our world be destroyed. I've pledged to give everything I can to keep the world we created together alive."
The man looked to the sky. "Life is about risks, and if I never took a chance, I'd never be where I am today. I'll never give on this life, the place where my world now lies."
The man flew up into the sky and out of Planet Mash-Up, leaving behind a somewhat confused yet confident Rig in his stead.
"How sentimental. Emotions of the weak leaving one to pursue his pointless dreams." Someone in the shadows mocked.
Rig gasped in surprise. "You! Have you been here the whole time?"
"I heard all of his sentimental words. He seems to be getting himself back to where he needs to be to continue his mission. And now, I can get back to my mission." The man said, pulling a sword out.
"Didn't you hear him? Everything is back on track now." Rig smiled and winked. "You may want to return to your team. It's not going to be as pleasant as you were hoping." She held up her camera and took a photo of the man, blinding him in the process. She leaped off the balcony with astounding grace and agility, landing safely on the ground below. She ran off into the night, ready to continue her reporting.
"If you believe that this new found invigoration will stop me, you are gravely mistaken." The man threatened to the night sky before turning back to where he came from.

The pair were running across a field, each carrying a couple of gears for a machine. "Come on. We got to get to the machine before..." They both skidded to a stop as a young girl waited before them.
"I'm sorry." The girl said with an almost-frowning face. "I can't let you continue." She cast a spell upon the two and caused them both to stop in place. They each forgot what they were doing. Moments later, an additional mass of spells slammed into the two. Their size began to shrink, making them sad in the process.
The two got up and headed home for the night, dejected about the night's events.
The girl was content with having cast her spell. She turned to head back to her place of residence when she spotted a small fluffy animal flying towards her. "Is that... a sheep?!" She lacked the proper time to react as the sheep flew into her, exploding on impact.
The poor girl's life was cut short by fluffy cotton death.

A man seemed out of place. He was all alone, but he knew he should be elsewhere. His confusion seemed to only apply to his current whereabouts as he managed to keep his wits about him. He drew his sword and fended off an attack from the shadows. "You'll have to do better than that. I won't be taken so lightly. "
The shadows seemed to hold no person, as the area the attack came from was devoid of anything but darkness.

A one-eyed beast stared about, searching for someone in particular. His orders were clear: find this being and dispose of him.
What was it they say about only having one eye? There seems to be a lack of depth perception. Or maybe just perception. Whatever the saying, this one-eyed beast was having no luck in finding his target.

"You were out late." Deadpool's floating head smiled as Rig walked in the door. "Did you bring me anything tasty to eat?"
Rig looked at Deadpool with disdain, then she just burst out into laughter of joy.
"Um... Are you okay?" Deadpool was confused by her response.
"You know what?" Rig said while gasping for air in between her laughter. "I think for the first time in a while, I really am!"
"Well, good for you. Now, what did you bring me?" Deadpool asked.
