The 51st state that is way bigger than the entire US? If anything, you guys should be the 14th province!
Happy Canada Day. Celebrated with BBQ, Beer, and some homemade poutine that would rival some of the best up there. Listened to some Canadian bands when preparing everything.

I've been too lazy to even effectively shed my extras over the years.
I did that big time two times ago going to visit TaT. All the players at his venue started with Hammer of Thor except for himself and one other person. I took everything that I had that was extra in a giant garbage bag (Ended up weighing about 50 pounds with no exaggeration) down to his player and went through and gave it all away to them. The only sets I didn't give pieces away from were the sets that the store still had packs available of. Rarer things like Crisis and HoT were used for prize support in the weeks to come at Game Knight.

I see that no one here has wished me Happy Canada day, yet people have mentioned their plans for BBQs and cookouts on Independence day...bad form! How will international relations be strengthened if we don't even extend each other these courtesies?
I still have 10 minutes left to do it according to my time zone! I of all people have to wish you a...
HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!
Also, I read the thing about the WOW funeral that you posted and watched the video. That is perhaps one of the most deplorable things I have ever seen a person (Let alone MULTIPLE people) do.

That's the beauty of you being American and your wife's family being from Canada-you get to celebrate both holidays!
That poutine sounds like it was great, too. My family had steak, but a poutine would have been most welcome.
As for the bands you were listening to, what were they? Rush? Guess Who?

Thanks pal. Wish I was feeling a bit more up to snuff, but it was still a pretty good day.
Yeah, that WoW funeral thing is just sickening. Apparently a lot of WoW players said "yeah, well, they were kind of asking for it", considering it was on a PvP (player vs player) server that they were assembling and it was technically fair game. Those are all just ####ty excuses to justify what was done. In reality, the expectations of WoW players is so low that people are instead surprised when they do something that isn't horrible and disgusting. I think its pretty sad when people acting in that deplorable a fashion is the norm...
But again it goes back to the whole anonymity thing. Some people get behind a computer screen, and suddenly become wretched jerks, when in person, they're absolutely nothing like that. They feel that on the internet, there are no repercussions for their actions, so who cares if they totally wreck something special like a memorial service for someone who has actually passed away? Its the internet, and that fact alone is a free pass to do whatever the hell you want and act however you damn well feel. I mean, its not like someone is going to show up at your door and do anything about it.
Just got back from seeing Transformers 3. I was actually surprised and liked it.
Shockwave was a beast.
Hopefully Bay gave the Transformers' fans something better this time. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Having no connection to them, still not quite understanding why I sat through the first one when I came across it on cable (I guess I couldn't believe it could get any worse as it went on, but it somehow did) and the only positive association I have with the movies being a hilarious point-by-point review of the second one... there's very little likelihood I'll ever see this one. Still, not everything out there is meant to be for me.

I have massive amounts of extras going back to IC, but never had a good opportunity to do this.
The local venue I sometimes hit has always had a display case where they sell singles (ludicrously marked up), so it would have been rude of me to try to just dump freebies there; as that was where the store and store employees dumped their extras, they had no interest in buying any outside extras unless they were high-end ones... and those I'd sell on ebay anyway.
At each of the venues I've gone to it seemed that people were only looking for newer, rarer pieces or only wanted the most competitive ones anyway. During the REV period I met more than a few who with rare exceptions only kept the veteran versions. The so-often low stats and almost uniformly glass-jawed dials of the first half or so of Heroclix' history would be of no interest to these people.
Sloan, Great Big Sea, Sleater-Kinney, and The Gandhavas (hope I spelled that one correctly)
I opted out of Rush since I have been listening to them a lot lately.
No Barenaked Ladies? I'm disappointed.

Well, if you ever get to sorting through them, please have a look at my Wants list. I have more than a few holes in my Golden Age REVU collection, and any help you could give me in that area would be appreciated.
